Getting the right fit is simple when the specs are clear. This wheel uses standard 1/2"-20 bolt size with a 4.27" pilot diameter and matches common trailer setups using a 6 on 5-1/2" bolt circle. Each wheel is precision-built to fit securely and roll smoothly mile after mile.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the Dexstar 15 inch by six inch white spoke steel trailer wheel with the six on 5 1/2 inch bolt pattern. Now this wheel's a sturdy steel construction. You can see it is an eight spoke design wheel and it offers excellent corrosion resistance 'cause they use a two step finishing process, which will include an e-coat primer and then a white powder coat finish. The wheel itself is a high quality wheel. Does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation specifications.
If you notice the center cap is not included. If you do want a center cap, we do sell those separately on our website, you do wanna make sure to get a center cap that'll have the same diameter as your pilot hole right here. 'Cause when you install that center cap, it goes through the hole. The diameter on this pilot hole is 4.27 inches. Now this wheel is made in the USA.
Give you a few dimensions on this, we're gonna measure the diameter and the width. And when you do measure the diameter, you're always measuring inside to inside or bead seat to bead seat. So what we'll do is take our tape measure and if we go inside to inside, there's your 15 inch diameter. The width on the wheel is the same way, we're gonna measure inside to inside or bead seat to bead seat. There's your six inch width.
Now the bolt pattern on this wheel is a six on 5 1/2 inch bolt pattern. And if you wanted to measure that on a wheel that's an even number of lugs, like in this case, six, it's pretty easy because if you notice the lug holes are directly across from each other. So if you get a tape measure and measure, pick any hole. If we measure, let's say this one, from the center of this hole directly across to the center of the hole right across from it, it'll measure 5 1/2 inches on this wheel. So that's telling you this is a six lug, 5 1/2 inch bolt pattern.
It does use a wheel lug size of 1/2 inch by 20, and the weight capacity on this wheel is 2,860 pounds. But that's gonna do it for a look at the Dexstar 15 inch by six inch white spoke steel trailer wheel with the six on 5 1/2 inch bolt pattern.

Wheels are holding up well. No problems at all. Keep the scratches and chips touched up and they should last for many years.
