Features to know about

Built for Heavy Loads and Confident Towing: 2,860-lb Capacity at 80 psi

This 15" x 6" steel wheel is made for serious hauling. With a capacity of 2,860 lbs and a 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern, it’s ready to handle the weight of fully loaded trailers with confidence. The sturdy steel construction meets Department of Transportation standards, so you know it’s designed for real-world towing strength and reliability.

Made to Fight Corrosion Season After Season: White Powder Coat over E-Coat Primer

Moisture, salt, and road grime don’t stand a chance. The Dexstar’s white powder coat finish seals over an e-coat primer for excellent corrosion resistance. Whether your trailer sits outside or sees frequent wet conditions, this finish keeps the wheel looking clean and holding strong through years of use.

Classic Spoke Style That Stays True: 8-Spoke Design with 0 Offset

The timeless 8-spoke pattern gives this wheel a solid, balanced look that suits everything from work trailers to weekend haulers. With a 0 offset and a 4.27" pilot diameter, it maintains proper load alignment for stable towing and even tire wear. The design isn’t just about looks—it’s a proven layout that stays true under load.

Engineered Fit You Can Trust: 1/2"-20 Bolts and Standard Pilot Diameter

Getting the right fit is simple when the specs are clear. This wheel uses standard 1/2"-20 bolt size with a 4.27" pilot diameter and matches common trailer setups using a 6 on 5-1/2" bolt circle. Each wheel is precision-built to fit securely and roll smoothly mile after mile.

Determining Bolt Pattern

1. Count the lug holes

Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).

Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug

2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.

Center to Center
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"

2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).

Center to Outside Edge
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

The two products arrived on-time and in excellent condition. Both the trailer rim and CURT ball mount are of high quality and exactly what is needed to solve my two different issues. I found the selection of the ball mounts to be excellent relative to the selection of the big chain stores. I will definitely order from etrailer.com again.

by:

I ordered the 15" trailer wheel 6 lugs. Nice looking wheel, fast shipping, and just as described. I have it mounted and ready to use as a spare on my trailer. also ordered the license plate light which came in the same box with no additional shipping added. Thanks etrailer.....!

by:

happy with the products and they arrived early. installed both rim and firestone ride-right air helper springs. they were easy to install .
now i need to road test them.

thanks

Great

by:

My rims on my 30ft 5th wheel were all rusted and paint peeling. Bought 4 rims and replaced them while I was replacing the brakes and hubs I bought from etrailer.com as well. I went with powder coated hoping they will hold up to all the traveling we going to do. they really look great on the trailer.

by:

I ordered this rim for a 2nd spare tire for my 5th wheel. After having 2 tires separate on the same trip, I decided it was time to have 2 spares available. This rim is rated for 2830# which is perfect for my needs. Etrailer delivered on time and wheel is in perfect condition.

by:

By buying these rims I believe I saved a little money overall and also have new rims. I ordered new tires and had them mounted on the new rims. I then changed the wheels myself and sold the old tires and rims for $80. I now have new rims and tires.

by:

First set of rims had chips on the outside edge. Down to bare metal. Returned those and received a second set o 4 rims. Not as many nicks this time. I touched them up, so they weren’t bare metal. I took them to the tire dealer to have new tires mounted on them. I got a call from the tire dealer, and was told that they were bent and couldn’t balance the wheel. All four of them! I called the rep that I ordered them through, two days in a row. No return call. I called customer service and they handled it with apologies. Now I have to find new rims, have them mounted with the new tires. $[XX] more that I have to pay! I never post reviews, but had to with this purchase. WTH!

by:

Very good product wheels were as described much heavier than my original trailer wheels.

VERY GOOD ! GREAT WHEEL!!

by:

I purchased 5 of these for my RV. They came in over the course of 3 days and I took them in batches to have tires mounted on them. Turns out 2 of 5 wheels were misshapen and the technician refused to put tires on them.

etrailer was responsive and professional in replacing the product and getting it back to me quickly. However, that does nothing to make up for the extra trips to the tire guy and the 160-mile round trip to where my RV resides. A 40% failure rate is pretty high. It might be better to get this type of product off the shelf locally.

by:

I have had these wheels on for a year now along with new 15" 14 ply G rated tires attempting to upgrade my weight capacity on my travel trailer to avoid any more blow outs.

So far so good... no issues and everything appears to be a significant upgrade. I would balance the tires though, they needed a few more weights than typical, not surprising really as the tires are extremely heavy duty.

by:

I have not yet installed the rim yet so I cannot speak to the quality. It looks good . My only complaint is the packaging. This has been a consistent thing with the products purchased from here. The products are great but they are not packaged properly for shipping. The rim was moving around in the box and there was only one piece of packing material in the box. I used to working in packaging and we had to ensure the product would not move in shipping. That is my only complaint. The products I have purchased were great.

It is working out great!

by:

A new wheel order processed, shipped, and received quickly as described on the website. No complaints here. Thanks Etrailer.

by:

This is exactly what we needed . Easy to order, great price, was received in a matter of days. So appreciate the quick service and fast shipping keeping us informed through out the entire process. This was ordered as a back up to the spare after a recent blow out for a defective tire Now we feel more comfortable traveling with 2 spares. Thank you we will continue to shop at Etrailer for all of our future needs.

A year later and still happy with our purchase . Have had to use this back up tire when traveling and have recommended to others when they were in the market.

by:

Ordered wheel, told me it was backorder, called and Isabella helped me to get another tire that they had in stock. 2 day delivery, great customer service

by:

Exact match to the existing wheel needing replaced. The order was filled and shipped quickly and was very well packed to prevent damage. Overall an excellent experience.

by:

Received the trailer tires in record time. Excellent service. Worked with a gal TomyLyn and she was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable!! Looked other places in my hometown but once I saw etrailers I decided to give them a look. Best customer service experience ever. Can't get over how beautiful the whole transaction went!! Will recommend them to everyone. Would give them ten stars!!

Love the tires we purchased from etrailer.com..they ride smoothly and look nice too. Best ones Ive purchased and they look good too. No problems!!

by:

The wheels were delivered promptly. Great service! The only gripe I have is that the wheels were skinned up a bit, which will lead to rusting. I touched up the skinned places before I had the tires mounted, so maybe they will last a bit longer before rust sets in. Maybe that is the new normal for wheel buying, but I wish they could have handled them a little more carefully.

Wheels are holding up well. No problems at all. Keep the scratches and chips touched up and they should last for many years.

by:

Finding a reputable source for trailer needs was difficult until I started using etrailer. Great resource for knowledgeable advice as well as for parts and equipment from well respected trailer component manufacturers such as Dexstar. I've used etrailer for several years for multiple purchases and they have consistently delivered quality products shipped very quickly. No need to hunt for various suppliers based on my multiple trailer component needs (utility, boat and travel trailers), this is one stop shopping with excellent customer support.

  • How Wide of a Rim is Recommended for the Tire Size ST225/75R15
For a wheel that is 5 inches in width and 15 inches in diameter you would want tires that are size ST205/75-15. For the tire size ST225/75R15 you listed you would want a rim that is from 6-7 inches in width. I attached a department page that has all of our tires that are that size. I also attached a page on trailer tire sizing that has a chart that show what tire sizes go with the different rim sizes.

You need to take apart your old hub in order to find out if you have the same bearing numbers. If so hub and drum assembly # AKHD-550-35-K will work; for an idler hub assembly # AKIHUB-550-35-K would be the right choice. I've added a link to video reviews of these parts for you...

Dexstar Vintage Steel Wheel # AM20395 does just have the star shape and not a large circle. It is the only wheel that we carry that has the 4 on 9.44 inch bolt pattern. Based on the measurements of the wheels you currently have, this wheel would not fit. It is possible that you can change the hubs on the trailer to be able to use a more common wheel style and bolt pattern. That said, I do have an option for you in the Timbren Axle-Less Suspension part # ASR5200S01 which has a 5,200 lb weight capacity and you don't need to worry about matching the spring center or hub face measurements of your existing axle. • Trailer Is Heavy On One Side - Will Upgrading Tires Prevent Uneven Tire Wear?
Hello Charles, thanks for reaching out. The load range F tires are going to be more durable and have a thicker ply than the E range tires, so upgrading should allow the tires to last longer and wear more slowly. If the trailer is heavy on one side though, upgrading the tires is not necessarily going to fix this. They may not wear as fast, but you can expect to see the same wear pattern over time. The best way to get around this would be to look at ways to more evenly load the trailer, or...

Hello Edward, thanks for reaching out. We do carry 16" trailer rims, but nothing with a 6 on 6 bolt pattern. All of the 16" 6-lug wheels we offer have the standard 6 on 5-1/2" or 8 on 6-1/2" bolt pattern. I am not aware of anything 6 on 6. Aluminum is rust-proof, so they are recommended mainly for boat trailers, but there is absolutely no reason you cannot use them on a car trailer. As long as you get the correct wheel diameter and bolt pattern. For example, the Americana Aluminum Mod Trailer Wheel # AM22646 is a 15" wheel with a 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern. • Replacement Hub Options To Upgrade from 4 on 9.44 Inch Bolt Pattern
You likely can change the hubs on your trailer to give you a more common bolt pattern. To determine the correct fit you will need to pull one of your hubs and get the bearing number printed on the face of the inner and outer bearing. If you are unable to read the number, then you can use a digital caliper like # PTW80157 to measure the spindle at the bearing and seal locations. With those numbers we can determine the correct fit for a replacement hub/drum to work with your brakes....
