This lightweight aluminum trailer wheel resists rust and features a satin black finish. Built for everyday trailers, haulers, and campers.
Unlike steel wheels, this one won't rust or peel. The aluminum keeps the weight low and the look intact, even after miles on the road. It's one less thing to worry about if your trailer sits outside or sees regular use.
For smaller cargo or utility trailers, this wheels 1,740-lb load rating hits the mark. You're not overpaying for capacity you don't need, but you're still covered for weekend runs, yard work gear, or that lightweight camper.
This rim uses a standard 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern, so it bolts right onto most light-duty trailer hubs without any weird spacing or adapters. If you're replacing an old wheel, it'll drop right in without a headache.
Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are (also called bolt holes)
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer. Today we're gonna take a look at this Americana 13-inch by 4 1/2-inch AM09 series, satin black aluminum trailer wheel with the 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern. Now, unlike some steel wheels, this one won't rust or peel. This aluminum wheel will keep the weight low and the look intact even after miles on the road. So it's one less thing you need to worry about if your trailer sits outside or sees regular use. We mentioned the design on this.
It is an AM09 series, which you can see, is a 10-spoke design. And the finish is a nice satin black finish on it. It has a clear coating on both the front and even the back of the wheel to protect the finish. A few measurements on this we're gonna measure for you is the diameter, which will always be measured inside to inside, or bead seat to bead seat. So if we take our tape measure and if we go straight across, you'll be able to see there's your 13-inch diameter.
The width will be the same way, it's measured inside to inside, or bead seat to bead seat. There's your 4 1/2 width. Now the bolt pattern on this wheel is a 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern, and if you wanted to measure that on a wheel, that's an odd number of lugs, like in this case, five, what you'll do is just pick one of the holes, let's say this one, and then you're gonna measure across to either one of these holes. But when you measure, it's from the center of the starting hole to the furthest edge of the hole you measure to. So on this one, if we measured, it'd be 4 1/2 inches, so that means it's a 5 lug 4 1/2 inch bolt pattern.
Now the pilot hole diameter, which is the large hole here in the center of the wheel, that measurement's gonna be 3.19 inches. And I also wanna mention, if you notice this wheel does not come with a center cap, a center cap would actually go through this hole. If you do want the center cap, we do sell those separately. You just wanna make sure to get one that'll have the same diameter as this pilot hole, which is 3.19 inches. This does use a wheel lug size of 1/2 inch by 20, and the weight capacity on this wheel is 1,740 pounds.
And this wheel does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation, specifications and the SAE J2530 standards. But that's gonna do it for our look at the Americana 13 inch by 4 1/2 inch AM09 series satin black aluminum trailer wheel.
