Question:
with 24223 PWC Trailer Strap and Hook by Dutton-Lainson Model 6147 what is the proper way to use this strap on a wave runner?

The 12 foot Long Personal Water Craft Trailer Winch Strap with Safety Hook by Dutton-Lainson, item # DL24291, is designed to be used with a hand winch mounted on the wave runner trailer like the Dutton-Lainson Trailer Winch, item # DL15002. There should be a bow eye on the front of the wave runner that the hook from the strap connects to and then the jet ski can be winched onto the trailer.
If you need straps to tie down the rear of the jet ski, I would recommend the Erickson Inboard/Outboard Transom Tie-Downs (2 Pack), 900lbs, item # EM06100. You would need two per PWC.
If you do not have eyes at the rear of the wave runner you could use a Retractable Ratchet Strap with Push Button Release, item # EM34416, and connect to one side of the trailer frame, go over the seat area of the wave runner and connect it to the other side of the trailer frame.
