When road time stretches long and the loads are heavy, this tire-and-wheel combo keeps pace. The Kenda Karrier ST205/75R15 radial tire has an 8-ply rating and handles up to 2,150 lbs at 65 psi. It’s matched with a steel wheel rated for 2,200 lbs. With a speed rating of M (81 mph) and DOT compliance, it’s ready for steady highway running without heat buildup or wobble.
Moisture and salt can ruin a wheel fast, but this one’s built to last. The dark silver Galvstar wheel is triple coated—zinc, e-coat, and powder coat—for superior oxidation resistance. That triple-layer protection keeps the finish looking good and helps prevent corrosion even after seasons of exposure.
Radial ply design makes a big difference when you’re towing at speed. The cords run at 90° to the direction of travel, reducing rolling resistance and heat buildup. Double steel belts and full nylon plies give it strength and stability, while the computer-generated tread pattern grips confidently in wet or dry conditions. Less flex, less wear, and longer tread life are what you get from this design.
No need to piece it together yourself—this setup comes as a matched assembly that meets Department of Transportation standards. You get the ST205/75R15 radial tire already mounted on a 15" x 5" steel wheel with a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern, 0 offset, and a 3.19" pilot diameter. It’s a clean fit with proper specs right out of the box.
For extra peace of mind, Kenda includes a 1-year worry-free guarantee on the tire—if it’s damaged in any way within the first year, it will be replaced at no charge. The tire also carries a 5-year warranty, and the wheel includes a limited 2-year warranty for lasting confidence in what you’re rolling on.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hello neighbors, Steve here with etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at this Kenda Karrier 205/75 15 inch radial tire with your 15 inch silver galvstar finish. Now this particular tire and rim does have what's called a five on four and a half lug pattern. So again, it is five lug, four and a half lug pattern. So I wanna throw up a graphic here for you real quick to show you how to check that. So with any kind of odd number lugs, you wanna measure just like the graphic shows from the center of one of those lugs directly across and in between two other lug holes.
So that red line there on that graphic, that's how you're measuring. So you can find this graphic on our website as well, etrailer.com. Any tire wheel we sell on the site has that graphic, it'll help you out. Please double check that. Now, this tire wheel assembly is ideal for such things as like stock trailers, utility trailers, campers, that kind of stuff, and it's got a nice dark silver finish.
It's got the modular design, that's those holes you see going around the whole wheel there. That's called a modular design. This is a Kenda Karrier special trailer tire that's radial. Again, it's specific for trailers only. Do not use this with any other vehicle out there, trailers only.
It's got a couple of the strength of a bias ply tire with the durability and stability of your radial tire. It's got double steel belts and a full nylon plies to combine for superior function and longevity of life. The tread, as you can see, it's got a nice tread pattern. It is computer generated that tread pattern. So they've done extensive research to find out what works best on the road conditions that are out there in all terrains.
Now showing you the back here again, it's got that nice silver galvstar star finish they call it. It kind of reminds me of like a hammered finish as far as a paint job and it's just got a nice, smooth, nice durable finish there and it's gonna hold up to the test of time. This assembly does meet all DOT specifications. The rim, again is a 15 inch by five inch rim. The bolt pattern, again, as we mentioned, is a five on four and a half. Now the hole size for your lug nuts to go through, that's a half inch hole or a half inch by 20 thread count. It's rated at 2,200 pounds. The pilot hole, as they call it, the inner diameter there is three point 19 inches, 3.19. It's got a zero offset, so that rim is centered perfectly and you don't have to worry about anything there. The section width on the front of the tread all the way across side to side is 8.1 inches and overall diameter of this tire is 27.3 inches wide side to side. Again, load range D, eight ply tire, rated at 2,150 pounds at 65 psi on the tire pressure. And it does have a speed rating of M or do not exceed 81 miles per hour. We all know we're not going faster than the posted speeds out there, right We want to keep safe. Five year warranty on the tire itself, two year on the wheel or the rim, and it's gonna be a very nice combination for you. Again, Kenda makes some great products. I've been super happy with them. We do sell so many of these. They're just a really good tire wheel combination and again, that warranty alone should sell it for itself. I'm Steve with etrailer.com. I hope this helps you. I hope you've learned some stuff here as far as measuring your lug pattern. Again, you can find all that information at etrailer.com. Have a good one.

We have sold a lot of these and this is the first time I have heard a complaint about them. Especially one this serious. I will say that a tire forming an oval shape is typically due to internal structural damage, often caused by severe impacts from potholes, curbs, or road debris. This breaks internal cords and allows air to leak and/or form a bulge, like you are seeing. Are you travelling rough roads, by chance? And also, what psi are you running them at?
