Features to know about

Made for Long Hauls and Heavy Loads: Load Range E with 81-mph Speed Rating

When you’re logging long highway miles with serious weight behind you, the Karrier ST235/80R16 Radial Trailer Tire with 16" White Wheel holds steady. This combo is rated Load Range E with a 10-ply construction, handling up to 3,500 lbs at 90 psi. The radial construction reduces rolling resistance and heat buildup for a cooler, longer-lasting tread. It’s a setup that delivers confidence under load, even at sustained highway speeds up to 81 mph (speed rating M).

Strong Wheel and Tire Pairing: Steel Construction and DOT Compliance

Built for endurance, the 16" x 6" steel wheel uses an 8 on 6-1/2 bolt pattern with a 0 offset and a 4.9" pilot diameter. It’s matched to the radial tire for balanced strength and stability on the road. The tire-and-wheel assembly meets all Department of Transportation specifications, so it’s ready for serious towing right out of the box.

Long-Term Durability in All Conditions: Powder-Coated Corrosion Resistance

Road grime, rain, or salt air won’t easily wear this combo down. The 8-spoke steel wheel features an e-coat primer and white powder coat finish that resists rust and corrosion over time. Whether you’re storing it outdoors or driving through wet conditions, the finish keeps it looking clean while protecting the metal underneath.

Peace of Mind from Day One: 1-Year Worry-Free Guarantee

Every Karrier tire in this setup comes backed by a 1-year worry-free guarantee—if it’s damaged in any way within the first year, it’s replaced at no charge. Combined with a 5-year tire warranty and limited 1-year wheel warranty, it’s clear this assembly is built for reliability mile after mile.

Determining Bolt Pattern

1. Count the lug holes

Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).

Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug

2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.

Center to Center
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"

2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).

Center to Outside Edge
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Great Product, Fast Shipping.

by:

Product OK but etrailer website shipping estimator & customer service useless. Had a 1200 mile trip on Oct.8 but no spare tire. On Oct.3 tire showed in stock and would likely be delivered Oct. 6. Shipping label was not created until Oct. 7. Left on trip Oct.8 as scheduled. Tire had not been delivered. Returned Oct. 11 to find tire dumped in drive way. If you are naive enough to believe their shipping estimates are accurate, note that etrailer did not even BEGIN to process the order until AFTER the estimated DELIVERY date.

I apologize for this experience. If you are ever in a hurry it is always best to choose an expedited shipping rather than the free ship option as the estimates are not a guaranteed timeframe.

by:

going to replace one that does play with others, looks like it will match up well

by:

Bought this for my 30 ft concession trailer after getting hit by a car. The wheel fit perfect, looks great and over the last year has performed like the original wheel and tire. Tread wear is normal for the mileage and holds air well even in cold weather. The tire also did very well when I was pulling the trailer through heavy downpours. Good tire/wheel I would purchase again if I need to.

by:

Great tires and wheels. In my experience it's hard to find long wearing trailer tires without spending a fortune. These tires were reasonably priced and are wearing well.

Tires are still going strong. They are on a typically loaded 14K equipment trailer and show little sign of wear. No problems this far. Id buy them again.

I am sorry Chip but we do not have a Chrome Spoke 16x6 8-lug rim. The closest we have is the Steel Spoke Trailer Wheel - 16" x 6" Rim - 8 on 6-1/2 - Galvanized Finish item # AM20781.

Starting off with leaf springs for your 7,000 lb axles, we have the 6-Leaf Double-Eye Spring # e64SR. In addition to the leaf springs you will also need the U-Bolt Kit # APUBR-9 and Tandem-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit # APT5 which will allow you to get everything mounted. Wheels and tires will depend on the size you want and the bolt pattern. For 7k axles I'm assuming your hub assembly has an 8 on 6-1/2 bolt pattern. The two most common wheel and tire sizes that fit this bolt pattern are 16"...

We have oil bath hubs that would fit your spindle, except they all have an 8 on 6-1/2 inch bolt pattern. One of them is the Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # 8-219-9UC3. • What Torque Spec Should Be Used For a Karrier 175/80R13 Trailer Tires?
There is not really an exact relationship between tire size and lug nut torque specs. The relationship has more to do with the stud size and wheel construction. For example, if you were using this tire with 1/2" lug studs and steel wheels then you will need to torque the lug nuts between 75-85 ft.-lb. I have attached a photo for you as well with more examples.

  • Can I Swap 205/75-15 Tires with 235/80-16 Tires on Dual Axle Trailer
The 235/80-16 tires will be about 3.6 inches in diameter larger than a 205/75-15 tires. Half that difference (1.8 inches) is how much closer the tire would be to the fender. When fully loaded, you will want to see no less than 3 inches of clearance between the top of the tire and the underside of the fender when the trailer is loaded. So, unless you currently have about 4.8 inches of clearance between the top of your existing tire and the underside of the fender, you'd be in danger of bottoming...

The Kenda Karrier ST235/80R16 Radial Tire with Wheel, # AM34903, does not have a torque rating. The lug nut torque rating is based on the size of the wheel stud on your trailer. If you are unsure about what size stud is on your trailer, then you should be able to contact the trailer manufacturer for verification, but as an example, this wheel will fit on 1/2-20 wheel studs and the standard torque rating for that stud size is 80 to 90 ft lbs.

  • Looking for Trailer Tires With 3500 lb Load Rating
Unfortunately, we don't carry any tires 14.5 inch wheels that would have that kind of load rating. If you have sufficient clearance to go up to a 235/85-16 tire for a 16 inch wheel, we do offer some tires with a 3500+ lb load rating, but the proper wheel/tire combo for you would depend on the wheel bolt pattern used by your hubs. For an 8 lug wheel with a 6-1/2 inch bolt circle, I'd recommend the Kenda # AM34903. For a 6 lug on a 5-1/2 inch bolt circle, I'd recommend going with # TA39VR....

Most likely yes, but it really depends on how tight the clearances are on your trailer to know if you could fit a taller (by 2-3 inches) and wider tire. Another thing is your hub will need to have either a 6 on 5-1/2 inch or 8 on 6-1/2 inch bolt pattern for one of our 16 inch tire and rim combos to fit. • How to Measure Ground Clearance for a Trailer with a 7,000 Pound Drop Axle?
The answer depends on a few different factors and I won't be able to provide an answer specific to your situation without knowing how the leaf spring hangers measure or the tire size, but I can give you a place to start. A typical 7,000 pound leaf spring would measure about 3 1/2 inches from the top of the spring to the center of the eye. The Dexter drop axle, # 8327860, you referenced is 3 inches in diameter so the leaf spring eye will sit roughly 1/2 inch above the center of the axle....
