Question:

Hi I am looking to replace the wheels on a Toyota tow tractor with standard wheels and tires available in the US. The Toyota tires are called up as 28X8R-15 which I think is close to 700x15 ?? 700x15 - I think this is a tire 7.00 inches wide for a 15” wheel. I think this tire has a rolling diameter of 30”. How does this compare to the 28X8R-15 ? I am looking for a wheel that will take this size tire or equiv with a 4.88” bore dia and 8 x 6.5” bolt pattern. It needs to have a zero offset. I would then be looking for a standard normal tire of the equivalent size to the 28x8x15 or 700x15

All of the tire/wheel combos we offer that have an 8 on 6-1/2 bolt pattern are either a 16 or 17-1/2 inch.

I have attached a link to our product page for tire/wheel combos that have the 8 on 6-1/2 bolt pattern you can check out. If you are looking for a combo with a load range E, I recommend the Karrier ST235/80R16 Radial Trailer Tire with 16 inch White Wheel, part # AM34903. The tire has a 10 ply rating and a 3,500 maximum load at 90 psi. The wheel is a 16 X 6 rim that has a corrosion-resistant powder coat finish.

All Of the combos we offer with a load range H, like part # TA95ZR, have a positive offset. This is the Taskmaster Provider ST215/75R17.5 Trailer Tire w/ 17-1/2 inch Silver Mod Wheel. This is a 16-ply rated tire and has a 4,805 maximum load at 123 psi. The wheel is a 17-1/2 X 6-3/4 inch steel powder coated wheel.
