  • Suspension Recommendations for a Triple Axle Gooseneck Trailer
We do have a variety of spring hangers you can use for a 7K triple axle system, and or that I recommend the Triple-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit # APTT5 which will space your axles 34" apart on center (see attached photo) and is compatible with 1-3/4" wide leaf springs like the 7K 6-Leaf Double-Eye Spring # e64SR. You'll need to have your current hangers cut off and this new kit welded on for the installation. You can use your current axles but I will say that mobile home axles are only designed...

  • Are Side-Frame Mount Jacks Available With Different Gear Ratios
For that I recommend an electric jack set like the Ultra-Fab Deluxe Electric Landing Gear Set # UF17-943010 which has a combined 12,000 lbs of capacity, and offers 38" of lift.

  • Parts Needed to Convert a Tandem Axle Trailer to a Triple Axle Trailer
Daniel, you can add a third axle but you're going to want to keep all of your axles the same size. So if you wanted 6K axles instead of 5.2K then you'd want to swap the other two as well. With that said, to add your third axle you're going to need the U-Bolt Kit for Mounting 5,200-lb to 7,000-lb, Round Trailer Axles # APUBR-8, the Triple-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit for Double-Eye Springs # APTT5, and the 6-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 5,300-lb Trailer Axles # e76SR. For the axle itself, let...

  • Recommended Axle Flip Kit and Replacement Springs for a Triple Axle Trailer
Hey Daniel you have done your research well. Congrats on the new trailer! The Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit item # K71-385-00 works with 3" diameter axles and you will need three of them as they are sold individually. The Triple-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit for Double-Eye Springs item # APTT5 will get you new hangers and replace your current equalizers and suspension hardware. When you're replacing leaf springs you definitely want to swap them all out at the same time....

  • Recommendation for Adding Third Axle To Trailer Suspension
The Dexter Heavy Duty Suspension Kit # K71-360-00 is designed for 33 inch axle spacing. To add your third axle, you cannot simply add a hanger spring and axle. You can keep your 35 inch spacing but you will need to relocate your hangers. I've attached an article to help with the proper positioning of your axles. You will need to add another equalizer of the same dimension as you have to each side and then add the same leaf springs and shackle straps as what you currently have. You...

  • Is There A Galvanized Triple Axle Hanger Kit?
Hey Joe, The triple axle kit # APTT5 is not a galvanized steel kit, it is going to be powder coated. I took a look through the different kits we have and I did not see a hanger kit that is galvanized. We do have leaf springs that are galvanized themselves but in terms of a full triple axle kit we do not have one that has galvanized pieces. What king of trailer are you wanting to do the work on?

  • Correct Hanger Spacing for Triple Axle Trailer with 26-1/2" Double Eye Springs
Thanks for reaching out, Eric! According to my research it looks like you're needing to space the outer hangers 29-1/2" apart and the inner hangers 33" apart since you have 26" long leaf springs. If you check out the linked photo we have for the Triple-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit for Double-Eye Springs # APTT5 the "A" and "C" measurements will need to be 29-1/2" while the "B" measurement would need to be that 33".

Hey David, for a triple axle trailer we have the hanger kit part # APTT5 which comes with the hangers, equalizers, shackles, and bolts. Then for leaf springs the part # e34SR would be a great option and for matching 3 inch diameter u-bolts you'd want the part # APUBR-8.

Hello John, thanks for reaching out. I an provide some rough guidelines for you, but there is not a "set in stone" hanger spacing for a 27" leaf spring and I cannot provide exact locations for anyone spring and hanger combo unfortunately. I do have a guideline for you in regards to trailer leaf spring hanger spacing on a triple axle trailer with 25-1/8" to 25-1/4" trailer leaf springs but we can't offer specific measurements as there are too many variables involved. • Recommended Lift Kit for a Triple Axle Trailer
No, I am sorry we do not sell the MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kit for Triple Axle Trailers item # MR86ZR with the hangers from the Triple-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit item # APTT5. I checked with MORryde and they don't offer kits like that either. You can buy the hangers separately with item # 28-5 but it wouldn't be cost effective plus you would still need equalizers. Another option other than replacing your hangers is to use the Correct Track Trailer Alignment and Lift Kit item # RR55QX....

  • Leaf Springs and Shackle Straps for Triple Axle Trailer with 7-3/4 Inch Equalizers
The issue you are experiencing is a result of leaf springs that are too long for your hanger spacing. You will want shorter springs and I recommend also going with a capacity more geared toward your axles. You will want to use the Triple-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit for Double-Eye Springs # APTT5 and # APTT3 for reference. These kits are rated for 2,000 to 7,000 lb axles with almost identical spacing. My recommendation for you is the 6-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 5,300-lb Trailer Axles...

  • Recommended Hanger Spacing for Triple Axle Trailer
There will be different dimensions between the hangers. From front to back your hangers for that 20-3/8 inch spring like # e84SR will be 24-3/4 on center then 29 inches on center and finally 24-3/4 inches on center. This will put each of the 3 axles 28-1/2 inches on center. I've attached a photo to assist. This is all based on 7-3/4 inch curved equalizers and 2-5/8 inch long shackle straps. These are found in the Triple-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit for Double-Eye Springs - 3-1/4" Front/Rear/Center...

  • Differences Between Triple Axle Hanger Kits APTT1, APTT3, and APTT5
The differences are the dimensions of the hangers and equalizers of the three kits. The # APTT1 uses totally straight equalizers and taller center hangers. The # APTT3 uses more traditional sized equalizers and center and outside hangers that differ in size slightly. The part # APTT5 uses a standard sized equalizer and hangers that are all the same height. The part # APTT3 is the one that is the most commonly used. It would be my recommendation for your trailer.

  • Distances Between Hangers for Triple Axle Kit when Used with Hanger Kit APTT5
Yes we do have a chart that shows how to space the axles of a triple axle trailer with a hanger kit like the # APTT5 that you referenced. I attached this chart for you to check out as well. The bottom section of the chart is for use with springs that are 25-1/4 inches in length from spring eye to spring eye. This is most likely what you have. The upper portion is for springs that are 20-3/8 inches.

  • When Converting from Tandem Axle to Triple Axle Where Does Third Axle Install
When going from a tandem axle trailer to a triple axle trailer you want to install the center axle where the current center hanger is for your tandem setup. This means you have to remove both of your current axles to position them properly. This gives you the additional axle support you want without throwing off how much tongue weight you have relative to the trailer weigh. We have triple axle hanger kits like the part # APTT5 you could use too. You should note that you will be increasing...

To add a 3rd axle you will need to start with a new hanger kit of which I recommend the Triple-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit for Double-Eye Springs - 3-1/4" Front/Rear/Center # APTT5. This will work perfectly with the Lippert 7k axles you have. Next you will need 6 of the 6-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 7,000-lb Trailer Axles - 24-7/8" Long # e64SR which when paired with the # APTT5 will give you 34" axle spacing. • Triple Axle Boat Trailer Suspension Clearance Problems After Installing New Front Springs
The first thing I would check on is the capacity of the new springs that you had installed on the trailer. You need to be sure that the spring capacity is rated at 1/2 the axle capacity. That way 2 springs equal the capacity of the trailer axle for proper fit. Check the arch of the springs with a level top of spring to top of spring to tie bolt. Next, check the suspension components on the trailer and make sure there is no damage. The Spring hangers, equalizers or shackle straps could...

Equalizer # TREQE1 does not have a weight capacity itself. It isn't bearing much of the weight compared to other components in a trailer suspension set up. • Reasons for Different Spacing Between Hangers in Triple Axle Hanger Kit
The difference in the spacing for the # APTT5 hanger kit comes in to play with the center spring due to the additional components attached at each end of the spring. Both the first spring and last spring have the same spacing since they are each attached to the hanger at one end and the equalizer at the other. The center spring however is attached to two equalizers. Since the center spring doesn't contact a hanger directly, some additional space is needed between the hangers to accommodate...

  • Do The Trailer Suspension Hangers & Equalizers Need To Be Changed Going From 3,500 to 6,000LB Axles?
You may be able to use the same hangers and equalizers that are already being used on your triple axle trailer. This may also affect your trailer fenders if the axles are being spread further.
