Today we're going to be taking a look at a 3 inch long nylon bushing. This nylon bushing is designed for use with trailer suspension systems. You can simply insert it into the eye of a leaf spring to help ensure proper sizing for suspension bolts. It's constructed of a durable nylon construction. A few measurements to go over with real quick, starting with the inner diameter. That's going to give us a measurement of 7/8's of an inch.
Outer diameter, that's measuring edge to edge. It measures 1 and 1/8. Overall length, that's going to give us a measurement of 3 inches long, and with this part number you're going to get 1 bushing. That's going to do it for today's look at the 3 inch long nylon bushing.

I used it to replace a steering column bushing on my Triumph TR3. Worked great
Supposed to be 7/8 ID. MORE LIKE 1". But I ordered the 7/8 greasable bolts so I'll keep it greased up and think it'll be ok.
These fit well and are inexpensive. Still holding up on a triple 7,000 lb. axle trailer after about 7,000 miles on California highways, so they must be tough!

I bought bushings to replace ones on a very old boat trailer. The size of the older ones were not available, so I bought these 3" long bushings with the idea of placing a smaller diameter bushing inside to give me the proper diameter for the 1/2" mounting bolt for attachment of the leaf springs. Everything worked out as planned. Another week or so of work on the trailer will allow me to launch a sailboat that I have been building for 4 years.
The people working at Etrailer don't know how to use a simple caliper so the correct description of the item is right. Someone at Etrailer needs to instruct their people on how to use one. This way when this item is delivered, it is to the size as in the description.
