A strong suspension starts with parts that lock everything in place. This steel U-bolt plate ties your 2" square axle to your 1-3/4" or 2" wide leaf spring so the axle stays put and the trailer tracks straight. It’s designed for 3,500-lb setups and works with 9/16" diameter U-bolts (sold separately) to clamp the spring stack down tight.
No need to hunt down special hardware. This plate is sized right for two of the most common leaf spring widths—1-3/4" and 2"—so it fits cleanly and sets up quickly. The drilled holes line up for 9/16" U-bolts, giving you a precise fit that keeps the axle and springs in alignment mile after mile.
When your trailer is loaded down, you want every suspension piece to pull its weight. This plate is built for 3,500-lb axle systems, giving you confidence that it can handle the pressure without bending or shifting. It’s a dependable part of a suspension setup that holds strong under heavy use.

Today, we'll be reviewing part number 117594. This is Redline's U-bolt for 2 inch square trailer axles. The U-bolt plate is going to act as part of a trailer suspension system. It's going to help secure a square 2 inch wide axle to a 1 3/4 inch, or 2 inch wide leaf spring. It does require 2 U-bolts, that are going to measure 9/16 of an inch in diameter. If we take a measurement of the plate itself, it's going to give us a measurement of 5 1/2 inches by 4 inches. If we measure the distance between each hole, going this direction, it's going to give us a measurement of 2 3/4 of an inch. If we measure the distance, center on center this direction, it's going to give us a measurement of 2 5/8 of an inch. It's a raw steel finish, so it can be primed and painted.
Then, adding a rust protectant on there would be a good idea, before installing this product. That's going to do it for our review of part number 117594. This is Redline's U-bolt plate for 2 inch square axles. .

Hey Sean, I did this 3 and a half years ago. Its an old Shoreline trailer with a 19 ODay Rhodes 19. I suspect it might be just a little bigger than your daysailer. You should be able to get the correct parts for the trailer you have. Try to find a manufacturers plate on the trailer with modelyear... info and give eTrailer folks a call. Theyll make sure you get the correct parts. Ive used eTrailer for extensive re-ferbs of a few trailers. Good Luck! JoeV

Very satisfied after 1 year. Some older trailers like my 1950 Spartan Royal Mansion, ride too low to the ground. One way to help this is to move the leaf springs over the axel from the under axel manufactured position. There is no “nest” for over axel mount, so you need a heftier plate and bolt to crank it on in hopes it holds. This product is heftier and was perfect for the application.
