Video Transcript for Hands-On with the Kodiak 11" Rotor

Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the Kodiak 11-inch Dacromet slip-on, over-the-hub rotor, for 9,000 pound and 10,000 pound Dexter and Lippert axles. Now, this is a slip-on, over-the-hub rotor. Makes it easy to convert your idler axle to a disc brake axle, and it'll fit over standard idler hubs, and it's held in place by your wheel, and the wheel lugs. Now, there's no need to replace an entire hub and rotor assembly, if only your hub or rotor becomes damaged. This is a nice cast iron construction, ensures a favorable friction coefficient for necessary stopping power.

And, as you can see, it is a vented design, so it'll effectively dissipate heat, prevents any heat related damage. Now, we did mention this has a Dacromet coating on it, which will provide superior corrosion resistance for freshwater or saltwater use. It does have a 300 to 400 hour salt spray rating. Now, when you do install this, the distance from the hub face to hub face will increase by approximately a half an inch. Now, this does fit the axle 9,000 pound and 10,000 pound Dexter and Lippert axles.

The wheel size that'll fit on this is 15 inches and larger. Now, the outer diameter of this, from edge to edge, if we put a ruler on it, you can see is gonna be right about 11 and a half inches, overall diameter. Bolt pattern, there's eight holes here. If we measure the bolt pattern, so if we pick it, measure center to center, on the holes directly across, six and a half inches. So it's an eight hole, six and a half inch pattern, and the bold hole diameter is right at a half an inch.
