Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this Dexter 516 Dump Trailer Power Hoist Kit. Now this power hoist kit is the system that basically turns your trailer into a dump trailer. It's a full hydraulic setup. So instead of manually unloading material, all you have to do is push a button, and the trailer bed is going to lift up and dump everything out for you.
Now this hoist kit is gonna be great for you if you're like a contractor, a landscaper, small business owner who regularly hauls heavy materials, and you need a fast, reliable way to dump loads. This is also going to be a great fit for trailer builders or experienced DIYers putting together or upgrading to dump trailer for serious repeated use. Now I have limited space here on my table, so I was not able to lay everything out, but on your screen, I'm including a photo of everything that's gonna be included with this kit. So you're gonna get the hydraulic power unit, the hoist assembly, including the steel frame and the hydraulic cylinder, the hydraulic hose assembly, the hydraulic fittings, the Bridon load control, safety arm and safety arm cup, safety arm storage, arm bracket, hinge, battery cables, and rubber strap. I do wanna point out, this does not include a battery.
I just wanted to point that out. So everything that you see there on your screen. So this does use a 12-volt hydraulic pump. So it's going to run off a battery, as I've been mentioning. And the lifting itself is done with scissor-style hoist underneath the bed, and that design's going to give you a solid lifting, it's gonna give you solid lifting stability and power.
Now again, this specific model is the 516, and that's a pretty common size for dump trailers in the 10 to 14-foot range. This is rated from about eight tons so, or around eight tons rather, so this is gonna be able to handle those heavier loads like gravel, dirt, and debris without much issue at all. So this is basically going to be a complete package for you for either building a dump trailer or replacing an existing hoist. Now if you are interested in this but you want help with installation, we have you covered.
