Endcaps easily install on the same brackets that your keel, spool or bow rollers are mounted to. Just attach each endcap to the shaft on the outside of the roller bracket, and then secure the endcap in place with a cap nut (or pal nut). Not only do the endcaps provide more surface area for better boat-to-trailer contact, but they also help to keep your boat from being scratched by sharp bracket edges.

Today we're going to review part #YR131-4Y. This is the Yates endcap for boat trailer rollers. This endcap will mount to a keel roller, a spool roller or a bow roller on your boat trailer. It helps improve the boat-to-roller contact and it will give extra support in guiding capability. This part is constructerd of a TPR material which is thermoplastic rubber material.
It is a non-marking, non-scatching material. It is stronger and more durable that your tradition rubber material and it is softer and more plyable than a polyurethane material. This endcap we will install on the same brackets that your keel, spool or bow rollers are mounted to. You just attach each endcap to the shaft on the outside of the roller and the secure the endcap in place with a cap nap or a pal nut. This endcap will provide more surface area for better boat-to-trailer contact and it will also keep your boat from being scratched by sharp bracket edges.
We're going to do a few dimensions on this end cap. The overall diameter is 2 3/4 inches, the width is 1 inch and this endcap will mount to a keel, a spool or a bow roller that is on a 1/2-inch diameter shaft and that should do it for part #YR131-4Y.
