The 89" on the # DX47HR axle refers to the hub to hub length, not overall. The drop spindle on this axle is a 4.5", I see out description needs to be updated but it is going to be a 4.5" drop spindle. The axle itself does have a camber in it which you will want to center bow point upward.

The best option I have for you based off the axle you were looking at, e72GR, and the other info provided would be the Dexter Boat Trailer Axle - 89" long part # DX47HR. It has a 4.5" drop, 89" hub face, and the square tube is 2" x 3". It is rated for 3,500lbs which is just over your 3k capacity you were wanting. Hello Chris, yes as of now the only exact fit is the Dexter Boat Trailer Axle # DX47HR. That is a pretty specific hub face and spring center size that is not very common, unfortunately.
The more common setup has 74" spring center measurement like with the Trailer Axle with Idler Hubs - 5 on 4-1/2 Bolt Pattern - 89" Long - 3,500 lbs # e65GR. We do have an axle that is 72" for the hub face but nothing that is 72.5". All of the axles that are 72" long have a spring center of 58". This is the approximate width of your trailer. It is measured from the center of the spring seat on one side of the axle to the center of the seat on the other. This axle beam comes with the spring seats welded on.

Since this is going on a saltwater marine trailer, you definitely need a galvanized axle to protect from corrosion. Because this is intended for boat trailers, this axle has a 4.5" drop to lower the deck to make boat launches easier. Its hub face measurement is 89" and spring center measurement is 70".
