Keeping gear safe from rain, snow, and prying eyes is easy with the RetraxONE XR. The cover is built from high-quality Lexan polycarbonate, the same material used in jet canopies, and reinforced with 5/8" thick aluminum I-beams every 4-3/4" for strength. It locks anywhere along the rails using a pop-up handle that sits flush when closed, sealing tight with weather stripping and foam gaskets on all sides. The result is a cover that stays watertight, resists dents, and shields your cargo from UV rays, dust, and debris year-round.

When you’re hauling oversized gear, the RetraxONE XR glides open in seconds and rolls into a compact 13-1/2" deep x 12" tall canister. The sealed ball-bearing rollers move smoothly without lubrication, and the spiral track system inside the canister keeps the slats from touching each other so they don’t scratch or bind. You can even lock the cover partway open to balance long items at the tailgate while keeping smaller cargo covered up front.

The integrated Trax Rail System lets you attach T-slot-compatible crossbars or racks from Yakima, Thule, or Rhino-Rack (sold separately). That means you can haul bikes, kayaks, or ladders above the bed while keeping your covered storage below. The rails sit just 1" above the bed for a low-profile look, and the retractable cover still works normally with the racks mounted.

This cover is designed to perform in temperatures from -50°F to 200°F without swelling, cracking, or fading. The matte black finish resists scratches and stays cool to the touch even in direct sun. With no springs, snaps, or hook-and-loop strips to wear out, it’s a simple, reliable system that stays smooth and secure over time.

Installation is straightforward—just clamp the rails to your bed, attach the canister, and route the included drain tubes through existing holes so any water that gets inside is channeled out. The canister’s angled bottom saves space underneath, leaving more room for cargo while keeping the retracted cover protected and dry.

Ratings & Reviews
Looks good and feels sturdy
Awesome product as it was easy to insta ll!
Still works great. Been outside in the elements for a year. Looks and functions great.
The install is complete. I'd prefer a hard copy of the directions. The little point and shoot QR code took me to the wrong cover. After a little work I did find the correct one. This added a good 30 minutes to the install time. Little trouble with the adjustment. I might have to adjust a little more in the days to come. I'm conservative with the 4 star rating. Time will tell, could move to 5. The MAJOR concern...the delivery company delivered it to the wrong address. Thankfully I have honest neighbors otherwise someone would have been out $[XX].
I'd have a conversation with the delivery company if I were y'all.
Product very good. Drain plugs could fit better keeps popping out
perfect fit. solid build. Fast shipping
Installation went well. Quality workman ship.
E trailer is great. But when the cover arrived and I installed it the cover had a hole in it or a small flaw
I have seen this product on other trucks and liked it. It was fairly easy to install(some good videos on[line]) my son helped me, two people make it go faster and easier. Thanks for the good service and price.
Looks very sharp and fits well on my 2022 Silverado 1500 5'8" bed, and the fits well with Rihno Rack heavy duty crossbars 65" long.
Shipping was fast. Everything arrived in tact.
The instructions for the cover were fairly easy to follow and it fit our 2023 Canyon Denali with a spray in bedliner perfectly.
Works good overall. Opens, closes and locks very well. I get some water coming in on the sides , driving in the rain. Not pleased with the connections on the drain tubes. I have had to glue them in more than once, even during initial install. I did not like the fact that I had to drill those 1/2" holes in the bed for them as well.
The product quality is very good, and I anticipate many years of useful service. Regrettably, the assembly directions are somewhat superficial. Identifying hardware (i.e.: screw size, color, etc.) is particularly challenging as there is not an actual size comparison chart. Properly aligning the product was also very difficult, multiple attempts were required.
Fantastic cover. Perfect for my needs. Performs better than I imagined it would. Ability to access bed instantly with supplies... Yakima rack on/off in literally less than two minutes. Drive a black limited Tacoma. Perfect match for this truck. From sleek to bound for the trails in no time.
Very good quality tonneau cover and it just glides when opening and closing. Installation was super easy too.
Excellent shipping. No damage. Installation instructions were easy to follow. No complex tools needed. Lightweight product. Easy lifting and maneuvering into position.
etrailer had excellent communication and the cover came in sooner than expected. The Retrax cover was flawless and had excellent instructions for easy installation!
Everybody at etrailer have always provided excellent customer service. Thank You,
I spent more time getting the cover aligned than assembling and getting it onto the truck bed rails. The instructions are very good. I had to adjust the top jaws of the all the rail clamps since I have the T-slot XR rail system. I used a thin piece of cardstock to check for unwanted clearance between the jaw and truck bed flange. Since I didn't have a very large drill bit, I used a Dremel sanding bit to enlarge the pilot hole that I drilled through the plastic bed plug for the drain tube. That worked fine. The cover looks great and seems to operate well on this first day of installation and use. The T-slot rails do not get in the way of using the hand-holes for the rear step bumper.
The install was very easy but definitely a two man operation. The section that holds the rolled up cover is pretty large so you do lose some space. That section is also is fairly thin walled. I have dented and scratched it pretty good but it doesn't affect its function. I put one of those cargo load bars across the bed in front of it to try and stop that. I did have it "rack" a little after some rough drives which can cause it to bind a bit when rolling up. But it always closed on the second or third try. And its easy to straighten up again if needed. No water has gotten in the bed and it sure makes grocery getting a whole lot easier. I think its great.
Piece of junk. It ripples in the wind like a tarp over the back of the pickup. The canister does not roll up without having to be forced it in, mostly due to the ripples from driving down the highway. 2 stars because it could work well, the parts and design, if the actual cover were designed for the use it is intended for.
Great accessory for our F-150. Installation isn't too bad if you just take it slow and double-check everything as you go. Looks are top-notch, and the functionality has been excellent. Gives us an extra sense of security being able to lock the cover when needed. You lose a small amount of bed space, but so far it hasn't caused any problems for us. Did I mention it looks great?
Pretty decent cover and installation was reasonable. I’m still not sure how water resistant it will be but we will see. It is replacing a folding cover and thus far it is easier to use. I’ll have to see if it is worth the space trade off but I didn’t like the rear window being blocked when the folding cover was open.
So far I have about 10000 miles on this set up and the Retrax cover has been great, love being able to keep prying eyes off my gear and water infiltration has been minimal. This is the plastic version and seems to be holding up fine to the elements thus far…time will tell, there is a slight loss of cargo space with this unit installed but it hasn’t been an issue for me. I am very happy overall to this point.
