Hey everyone. It's Evangeline. And today we're taking a look at our replacement nylon adjustment screws for your Retrax tonneau covers here at etrailer. So what actually happened was that the container holding the tonneau cover was tossed around during transit. And when it arrived, some of these adjustment screws we're snapped off at the edge but that's perfectly fine because it was able to maintain the integrity of the tonneau cover. So this is gonna be an adjustment screw that moves your tonneau cover back and forth.
That way you can make sure everything is lined up and you can roll the tonneau cover properly. If you notice that your tonneau cover seems to stick, just check your adjustment screws, and make sure that they help it line up. This utilizes a six millimeter Allen key or Allen wrench and this is used to loosen or tighten your adjustment screws. If you don't have the right Allen key I don't really notice any stripping but it's not outside the realm of possibility. And that's when you might also need a replacement screw.
To replace it, just start by loosening the screw until it comes off of the tonneau cover completely, then get your replacement screw and screw that right back in. You can also do this as you are installing your tonneau cover before you have it on your truck bed. If you're using this screw to make adjustments to your tonneau cover, then go ahead and make those adjustments that involves measuring from each side, in each three of the same measurements. Its been great after a year, the cover is very solid, no leaks, the mechanism works just like in the beginning
