You don’t have to pull the cover off when you need the whole bed. The MX4’s quad-fold panels flip up in sections, so you can open just what you need or fold it all the way up for complete access. Prop rods hold the cover upright so you can drive with the bed fully open. The integrated buckle system keeps everything secure whether it’s folded, flipped up, or closed.
Each panel is built from 1/2" thick, rustproof aluminum with a premium density foam core for extra strength. The cover is rated to hold up to 400 lbs of evenly distributed weight, so it handles heavy use without bending or sagging. Aircraft-grade aluminum rails with a black powder coat finish add more durability while keeping the fit tight and clean.
The matte black finish gives the MX4 a low-profile look that blends in smoothly with the bed rails. It’s resistant to scratches, scuffs, and UV rays, so it stays looking sharp through years of use. The cover sits flush inside the bed rails, keeping a sleek appearance instead of sticking out above the sides.
Rain and road grime stay out thanks to matte black rubber seals and a built-in drainage system that channels water away from the bed. The rear seal lets you open or close the tailgate with the cover up or down without messing with extra latches. When combined with a locked tailgate, the automatic latching panels create a secure, weather-tight space for your gear.
You won’t need to drill into anything to get it mounted. The frame rails clamp to the inside of the bed rails, and front hinge bolts secure easily into place. That design also keeps your stake pockets open for accessories like racks or tie-downs if you want to add them later.

The BAKFlip after 2 years is still functioning great. I fixed the curling cushion by applying some strong adhesive to the spots that had detached, taped it in place and let cure for a couple of days. That solved that issue. Would continue to recommend the BAKFlip to others.

You mentioned that the glue holding the pads are failing. I wanted to see if you would be able to send a picture to show the locations.

The cover is still excellent and keeps our items dry and secure on those road trips. I stand by my initial review and still wish the weatherstripping would stick the the spray in liner better but its only been a minor annoyance that hasnt resulted in any water getting into the bed.

Thanks for the great feedback! We're glad you're enjoying the tonneau cover and that being able to use almost the entire truck bed when it's open has been such a big plus. It's also nice knowing your gear stays secure when you lock the tailgate. We appreciate you mentioning the clamps too—that kind of feedback is always helpful. Thanks again, and we hope you keep enjoying your new cover!
