Today on our 2014 Chevy Silverado 3500 CrewCab, we'll be installing the DZ truck-bed auxiliary tank, part number DZ91752X in conjunction with the DZ connector kit of auxiliary tank, part number Dz97960. To begin our install, we'll first go ahead and put our tank into position. We'll be putting it in the truck bed up against the bulk head near the cab. If you are using this tank as an auxiliary to pump into another piece of equipment, you would simply center it in the bed and secure it. However, we'll be using it as a transfer tank. We'll first go ahead and remove the auxiliary tank plug. For this application, we'll be using a large handled shut off valve. A couple of these fittings we're purchased at our local hardware store.
We've got a right angle valve that will come out of the tank to a coupling that will connect the right angle to the shut off. We can then use the barb fitting supplied with our install kit on the other side of our shut off to connect the auxiliary hose. In between each of our connection points, we're going to go ahead and use some thread dope, which is similar to thread tape only in liquid form. Once we have out fittings assembled, we'll go ahead and secure them to the tank. Now, with out shut off secured to the tank, we'll go ahead and put it back in position. As we put it in position, we'll make sure we push the tank all the way over to the passenger side to create as much space between the side of the tank and the pickup side here on the driver side.
This will allow easier assess to the shut off valve. Once in position, we'll go ahead and mark where the drain will go down through the pickup bed. Once it's marked, we'll go ahead and drill it out with pilot hole and then check the location as it comes through the bed. NOTE: Be careful not to drill into any electrical wires, hoses, or lines. Once we have it checked, we'll then go ahead and open it up to 3/4" as per the instructions. Now, with out large hole drilled out, we'll go ahead and install the hose onto the tank.
We can make it easier to install and see, we'll go ahead and pull the tank up out of the pickup bed where we can slide the worm gear clamp provided with out install kit onto the hose and the hose onto the nipple coming off our shut off valve. Once we have it installed, we'll go ahead and tighten it down. Now, with it tightened down, we'll take the other end of the hose that was supplied with out install kit and feed it through our predrilled hole and down underneath the pickup bed. As we feed it in, we'll put the tank back into position. Now, with out tank back in place, we'll need to secure the tank to the pickup bed. There are a total of 4 attachment points, two on each side. First, we'll go ahead and drill out the bottom attachment point here for the driver side.
We're going to go ahead and slide the U-shaped spacer block in around the attachment point here so that when we tighten down the hardware, it won't smash the bed corrugation. Once we have the hole drilled out, we'll go ahead and put our bolt and lock nut in position putting the bolt down through the tank attachment point through our predrilled hole in the bed and securing it underneath with a washer and nut. We'll go ahead and tighten them down. Then, we'll move over the passenger side and repeat the same process. Now, with both sides secured, begin to install the filler T. The filler T will go inline with the manufacturers fill tube line. We'll find a suitable location and cut the fill line in half. We'll then take the rollover valve and install it into the metal T that will go inline with the manufacturers fill tube. Once again, we'll use some thread paste on this fitting as it goes into the fill tube T. Now, we'll go ahead and put our fill tube in position. We'll use the large worm gear clamps provided with the install kit to secure it. Next, we'll take the hose that we ran from our tank and run it to the fill tube T where we installed the rollover valve. Mark it and cut off any excess. We'll then use another worm gear clamp to secure the hose to the rollover valve that goes into the fill tube T. Once we have that secured, we're now ready to go ahead and test our new auxiliary tank for leaks. We'll verify that we don't have any leaks between the shut off and tank. We can then go ahead and check for leaks all the way from the tank to the fill tube. That does it for the install of our DZ truck-bed auxiliary tank, part number DZ91752X in conjunction with the DZ truck bed auxiliary tank kit, part number Dz97960 for our 2014 Chevy Silverado 3500 CrewCab. .

The fuel kit was installed on my 3500 duramaxx, works great....
Ordering and shipping was easy and completed in time. Reason for the 3 on the rating was that I had to get a new shut off valve. The little black (made cheap in china)valve broke when I tried it out. Glad I didn't have any fuel in it yet.
Easy install on chevy 2015 2500hd duramax. It took me about 10 minutes to install. Only thing no instructions in the box. I have installed one before and you have to mount the valve pointing up on the filler neck not on the side like the video or the float valve on the fuel fill will not shut off ever. Good product will buy again.

The parts are working ok, we just put a electric switch valve on the tank to open and close the tank so it fills the tank when I need it.
It works great. Everything I needed , except a grommet for bed of the truck so it keeps the hose from being damaged after a period of time. But it's great product.
A good product it the wrong size for my truck need to send it back. Just make sure you check the size you have.
Easy to install. Worked perfectly without any leaks.

Spacer for the tangs are not quit tall enough for my Super Duty, made a couple of shims and good to go.
The pipe is damaged. Thread the item is defective. It can't be installed.
