How Does Connector Kit # DZ97960 Work with Auxiliary Fuel Tank # DZ91752X

Published 08/06/2015

Question:

Aux fuel tank/tool box combo. 2007 F-250 Crewcab 6.0 Diesel Questions: When using the Connector Kit for Truck Bed Auxiliary Tank . How does it work? The valve when on gravity feeds the main tank of the truck, correct? Question: The valve position in normal use with fuel in the Auxiliary tank is in WHAT POSITION? Can I leave the valve open all the time as long as I have fuel in the aux tank or does it make any difference? Is there a possibility the main tank will over-flow from fuel from the Auxiliary tank? Thanks for the information, I have looked on the internet and see a lot of install videos but they do not answer these questions.

The Connector Kit, # DZ97960, is designed to be used with an auxiliary tank like part # DZ91752X and uses a gravity feed system to transfer fuel. When the valve is open, the auxiliary tank would then feed the main tank on your 2007 Ford F-250.

The valve on the auxiliary tank should not remain open. Doing so could cause issues with the vehicles computer system as well as possible pressure build up in the tank. Instead you will want to wait until you are stopped to open the valve and then close it before starting back up again.

As for the transfer tank / toolbox combos, like part # DZ92647, I spoke with my contact at DeeZee and these are designed to carry fuel from one job site to another and are not designed to be used with the connector kit to feed your truck's fuel tank.
