Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the JR Products, Fleetwood style compartment door trigger latch. So if something happened to that original door trigger and you need a new one, this is going to be a part for you to keep all your compartment doors nice and secured whenever you need them to be. And also open up properly and easily, whenever you want to open them up. It does come with the hardware to get this mounted up, so you don't have to worry about picking up any extra parts for this.As far as the length, it's about four inches long from this edge of the housing to the back of that attachment piece on our tab at the end there.
The distance between the mounting holes is going to be two inches, center to center. This is a Fleetwood style end mount, so it's going to mount onto the end there. That's where those two mounting holes are, so it's on the edge of the door. As far as the other measurements here, it's about one and five eights inches wide at that bracket. The outside edges of the mounting bracket is about two and a half inches.
Our striker sticks out about five eighths of an inch and it's about three quarters of an inch tall. This is covered by a lifetime warranty from JR Products. And that's pretty much all there is to it as far as our JR products, Fleetwood style compartment door trigger latch. If you need any other accessories or replacement parts for your RV, you can always find those here at etrailer.com. And thanks for watching..

Compartment door trigger latch returns function to your interior compartment door by replacing 1 worn or damaged door trigger latch. Measures 4-1/4" long and 2" between mounting holes.Works fine as a replacement. It's been a while but I think I had to drill some holes to make it fit. No big deal
I have not opened the box yet, am looking for info on how to drill out the rivets first before I install the new latches. Any suggestions?

Hi Calvin, I'd be happy to help! You will want to start with a smaller size drill bit to ensure you do not make the hole too big. You can use a power drill and bit that's slightly larger that the rivet. You'll want to create a center punch hole as a starting point on the rivet head. Then you'll position the drill on the center punch mark and drill slowly through the center of the rivet head. You'll want to increase pressure as you drill through the rivet body. As soon as you feel the rivet head separate from the shaft, stop drilling. Then finally, use pliers to remove any remaining pieces of the rivet. Let me know if this helps you successfully remove the rivets.

Good product with delivery exceeding ex pectations.
I wanted repair parts manufactured for my 2006 Fleetwood Expedition and these fit the bill. Other sites had aftermarket parts which I did not want.
