Features to know about

Stay Level When Front-End Weight Adds Up: 4,000-lb Suspension Support

Heavy front-end equipment like plows or mounted gear can make your vehicle nose down, throwing off handling and headlight aim. The Timbren Front Suspension Enhancement System adds 4,000 lbs of load support through hollow rubber springs that replace the factory bump stops. They work with your existing suspension to keep the front end level, improving steering, traction, and braking under heavy weight so your setup stays balanced and safe.

Smooth Out Rough Roads: Progressive Rubber Springs Absorb Shock

Every bump and rut sends a jolt through the suspension when the weight’s up front. Timbren’s Aeon hollow rubber springs act like built-in shock absorbers, cushioning impacts and reducing harsh bounce. Their progressive design compresses easily at first for comfort on light loads, then stiffens as weight increases to maintain stability. The result is a smoother ride when loaded and less wear on your factory suspension.

Reduce Sag and Body Roll: Independent Side-to-Side Action

Uneven or off-center loads can twist your suspension and cause sway through turns. These springs work independently on each side of the axle to handle uneven pressure and reduce body roll when cornering or swerving. That independence keeps your handling predictable whether you’re carrying a centered plow or gear that sits off to one side.

Bolt-On Upgrade Without the Hassle: No Drilling Required

Installing load support shouldn’t mean tearing into your truck. The kit includes two custom-fit hollow rubber springs, vehicle-specific brackets, and all hardware for a straightforward bolt-on setup—no drilling or airline routing required. Once installed, the springs automatically engage as needed with no manual adjustments or maintenance to worry about.

Ok it’s been a year since I’ve had the springs and I’m impressed. With how easy the install is and what you get out of it these are truly amazing. No more “squishy” feeling when towing my 22fy travel trailer. The ride is a little bumpy but I don’t care. I’m glad I found these.

I had a problem with getting front sumo springs relative to the rear sumo springs I purchased earlier; however, the staff at etrailer were very helpful in getting me a suspension enhancement component made by timbren which I just installed. I believe the timbren supports are going to do the job I was looking for and make me just as happy as I am with the rear sumo springs. You will notice from the photos the supports make direct contact; however, the pictures were taken on a unlevel surface and when the truck is on a level surface the direct contact is equal on either side. Also, the timbren supports provide substantially more weight capacity in the event I choose to haul my scooter on the front end of the truck. Thanks again Derek S and etrailer staff I am very pleased with the service, customer relations and professionalism experienced when ordering my parts. Thank you, Bobby (Louisiana).

by:

Have them on several trucks now and couldn't imagine running snow plows without anymore.

by:

The front Timbren are working very good. The rear not so good

by:

I would say that the product is a bit pricey for what it contains. The secondary bolts came with the wrong sized nuts. Other than that, they work well to support the suspension.

by:

Install was straightforward. Hardest part was getting the old bump stops out. Sway was greatly reduced on the Interstate and the rock and roll by passing semis was greatly reduced. Wish I had bought these sooner!

by:

These bumpstops really work, they stop the front end vibration before it travels through the shocks and springs, for a smooth ride

by:

Pretty pricey but well worth it. Put these all the way around at the same time as new rear leaf springs on our c7500 topkick and it made a huge difference. It's a top heavy bucket truck and it would rock and roll just turning a corner to the point it was downright scary. Now thats greatly reduced. They also smoothed out the ride especially when loaded more than I expected.
Install was simple, perfect fit. Worst part was grinding out the rivet on the old bracket

by:

I haven/t installed them yet. I think I should have gotten a discount for the age of the "box"s the Timbrens were in. May be a credit ,, Brad

by:

Super simple installation that took about 20 minutes. These made a HUGE improvement on steering control and bounce. Driving on the freeway is a breeze. I highly recommend this product.

by:

It good but one side with no bump had to be put spacer but the spacer was flat so the bolt did not have a lot of thread so I grind the spacer a bit so it could stay flush otherwise this might solve the problem of outter tire wear that ford transit has will find out soon

by:

I love these things. They are worth the upfront expense. I have them on two ¾'s, one ½, and a minivan for road trips. This particular set is full-time active up front. I have a 2" leveling kit and I'm in em no matter what. Zero complaints though. Solid performance through all aspects. I don't run any front-end attachments.

by:

I have a 2006 Kodiak 2 wheel drive. Timbrin firmed up the front end to much. There in full contact with the spring. I think it to stuff and I might be removing them. The install was straight forward. Parts are as expected and quality of Timbrin is great. Just not enough cush..

by:

Great ordering, shipping time, cost, and supporting information. We added a snow plow and the product did everything as advertised.

So far so good

by:

Works well. Pain to install but does the job. Don't attempt to install without air impact

by:

Great product and easy to install as per the directions that were included. I would recommend them to anyone in need of this kind of product for your truck.

Fantastic. I would buy it again and recommend the produst to others.

by:

Install was easy
Directions should relay
that the smaller piece of hardware goes into the frame but past there all is great. Just waiting for the snow to fly to really test the strength of the product with the plow on.

by:

Great product...etrailer answered all my questions about installing this bump stop. they made it very easy to install. thanks again George J.

by:

Great product and has helped with increasing the lifespan of my front suspension. I'm able to plow much easier now knowing that isn't going to hit the ground when going down the road to my next house.

by:

Easy to follow directions. Quality material, but difficult to do solo. Definitely try to have an extra set of hands to assist.

by:

I purchased the TDF15004B and TDR1500DQ products for my 2016 Ram 1500. Towing is way better and overall handling is improved. These products installed just fine. The directions were clear and concise. Etrailer has a helpful video series as well. Thanks to the staff at Etrailer for the great customer service and follow-up.

  • Front Suspension Enhancement For 2021 Ram 1500 Classic With Snow Plow
Hello Lawrence, thanks for reaching out. Beefing up the front suspension of your truck is definitely a good idea if you plan on adding a snowplow, and I do have a good option for you. That said, there are no front air bag kits made for the 2021 Ram 1500 Classic 4x4. What I recommend instead is the Timbren Front Suspension Enhancement System # TDF15004B. These are 4,000 lb capacity rubber jounce-style springs and they will do a great job supporting the front of the truck while you plow....

  • Front Axle Suspension Enhancement Kit for 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 Long Horn with Western Snowplow
A 400-lb Western snowplow on the front end of your 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 Big Horn can certainly give you reason to consider a front-axle suspension kit to reduce sag. Thank you for the photo of your truck and plow. We offer SuperSprings kit # CSS-1168F that fits both crew and quad cab versions of your Ram 1500. This kit offers the advantage of installing inside your front coil springs, which means that there is no concern with interference with your plow's mounting hardware. Please refer...

  • Will The Timbren Front Suspension Fit a 2021 Ram 1500 Classic Warlock Edition For Use w/Snow Plow?
I reached out to Timbren who said you will be able to mount their Front Suspension Enhancement System # TDF15004B on your 2021 Ram 1500 Classic Warlock with the 5.7L engine. This will help to reduce the front suspension drop when using a Snow Plow # K2SUMM8826ELT with the Mounting Brackets # K284314.

  • How to Reduce Front End Sag from a Snow Plow on a 2015 Ram 1500 Big Horn
As long as your 2015 Ram 1500 Big Horn is a 4x4 then the best option we have to help with front end sag due to the snow plow you have installed is the Timbren Front Suspension Enhancement System part # TDF15004B which is actually designed specifically for this purpose. They are easy to install, do not require any drilling, and come with a lifetime warranty. The best part is they won't affect the unloaded ride quality much at all.

  • Is There a Front Anti-Sway Bar for a 2017 Ram 1500
I do have an option for you but we only offer an upgraded rear anti-sway bar for a 2017 Ram 1500, the Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar part # RM-1129-135 which like a front anti-sway bar will work great to reduce body roll and improve stability. The only type of suspension enhancements we offer for the front are the Timbren Front Suspension Enhancement System part # TDF15004B or similar which like a sway bar, can reduce side to side rocking but admittingly won't be quite as good as an anti-sway...

The Timbren part # TDF15004B that your referenced would not provide you with any additional lift when installed on your truck. This is for support when under load. If anything it would cause the ride quality to get harsher if you were deep enough in the stroke of your suspension that this product was activated.

  • Will the Timbren Front Suspension Enhancement System for a 2013 Ram 1500 4x4 Work With Lift
The Timbren Front Suspension Enhancement System part # TDF15004B is a fit for a 2013 Ram 1500 4x4. That said, if the vehicle has been lifted you will need to add additional spacers as you mentioned. The Timbren Spacer For Raised Frame Vehicles part # A25723-90AH00 and part # TA25722-90P00 will need to be added to compensate for the lift. That said, you'll also need longer bolts as well but you can get these at a local hardware store.

  • Recommended Front Suspension Enhancement Product for 2014 Dodge Ram w/ Snow Plow
If the front end of your Ram 1500 sags significantly once a plow is installed, a front suspension enhancement product is exactly what you'll need. I'd recommend the Timbren # TDF15004B because the Aeon spring is actually bolted to the vehicle, rather than being zip tied to the coil springs like the SuperSprings # CSS-1168F. I've had no reports of the # CSS-1168F failing, but I'd prefer a more permanent, substantial attachment method.

  • Will Timbren Suspension Enhancement Allow Front Mount Carrying of a 300 Pound Scooter
I am not sure if 300 pounds would be a problem for the stock suspension. If it is, a Timbren Front Suspension kit would certainly be able to compensate. These kits are very popular among snow plow guys. They relieve some of the stress placed on the front suspension when plowing and this extends the life of the suspension. Since the Timbren kits handle this kind of work load, they should have no problem compensating for a 300 pound scooter.
