When carrying heavy weight, add air to level your suspension and maintain steady handling. Running without a load? Drop to the minimum pressure for a smoother, more compliant ride without stiffness or bounce. Manual inflation valves are included, so tuning your setup for each trip is straightforward and dependable.
Air bags are only as strong as their weakest link. That's why Alpha HD bags are reinforced from end to end with heavy-duty end caps, 20 internal support wires, and powder-coated steel brackets. Hi everyone. Steve here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at our Pacbrake Alpha HD airbag suspension kit. It's a double convoluted for your rear axle rated at 5,000 pounds. Now folks, this, again, is a custom fit, so make sure you're checking our fit guide here at etrailer.com. Be sure you're in the right parts the first time for your specific vehicle.
Now, if you have questions about that or how this fits, installation, anything about this or all of our other products, reach out to us. We'll be more than happy to assist you. Now today, I just have these set up kind of loosely fitted together, just to give you an idea about the size and everything. You will get everything in this photo included with purchase and in the box from the manufacturer. So you got the airline, airline cutting tool.
You have the push to connect fittings, you have the bags, obviously, and the brackets. The brackets, by the way, laser cut, laser measured. So they are gonna give you minimal drilling as far as installation and everything. And then of course all the U bolts, brackets, nuts, bolts, hardware, everything included. So this kit will be a manual inflation, so it's ready to use now manually, but you can upgrade later, or now if you choose.
Sold separately, you can get a manual inflation, or I'm sorry, a onboard air system that would allow you to, from the cab of your truck, inflate these, deflate these without getting out. You can set the PSI between five to 100, depending on your specific load. And again, these are gonna pretty much reduce rear end sag, sway, and bounce, giving you better handling of your vehicle under a load, and the trailer you're carrying, and those kind of things. And again, obviously they're airbags. (air whooshes) So as you can hear, it's letting air in and out now because it's not hooked up.
But these bags are gonna compress under that load sometimes really, really tight together, depending on the load and the need. So again, five to 100 PSI. The instructions will give you a good idea of where to start as far as a specific PSI, depending on your weight and those kind of things. Well, folks, that's gonna wrap it up for a look together. Installed this past weekend. Haven't towed with it yet. Nice construction and finish. I have a 2025 Chevrolet Trail Boss 2500HD and the spacers are NOT needed. Measurement for needing the spacers in 7" and above between jounce cup and contact pad. My space was 5.5" to 6".

Direct bolt on, plug and play
The product is a great product. After installation was completed and the air added to the air suspension, it raised the rear end of the van about 2-3 inches.A very nice improvement.
Installation instructions definitely need better quality diagrams.
Easy to install and work just as I had expected. Great finish on brackets and quality hardware. Easy to follow instructions. Highly recommend these airbags!
The 2" spacers are definitely not needed for a Trail Boss. I could barely get them in, and now the ride is super stiff. Now I have to get back under the truck and remove the spacers. Not looking forward to that. It was very difficult installation, for no reason.
