Heavy loads can make the back of your vehicle sag, throwing off braking, steering, and headlight aim. The Air Lift 1000 Universal Air Spring Kit adds up to 1,000 lbs of load-leveling support inside your rear coil springs. By reinforcing your existing suspension, it helps you stay level and steady when hauling or towing. The improved balance keeps handling predictable and reduces strain on tires and factory suspension parts.
Every load is different, so this kit lets you fine-tune support for the perfect balance of comfort and control. You can inflate or deflate the polyurethane air springs manually using the included Schrader valves to match your setup—lighter pressure when unloaded, higher when loaded down. For springs with greater than 1" pitch you can run 5 psi to 35 psi, or up to 50 psi for springs with less than 1" pitch. Optional dual air lines let you level off-center loads by adjusting each side separately.

Rough roads, trailer sway, and bounce are less of a problem when your suspension can flex with the load. These polyurethane air springs sit inside your coil springs to absorb shock and road vibration. The result is a more stable ride that feels planted on highways and over uneven ground, with reduced sway and smoother control no matter what you’re carrying.
When there isn’t a vehicle-specific kit available, this universal setup makes it easy to get the support you need. Measure your coil spring’s inside diameter and height, then match them to the included chart to find your fit. This version fits a minimum diameter of 5-1/2" and a maximum height of 10-1/2", with spacers included to make up for any height difference. Once installed inside your rear coils, just route the air lines to the bumper or another easy-access point and you’re ready to adjust pressure as needed.

Jeff: Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com.Today to take a look at the Airlift 1000 Universal Air Helper Spring Kit for rear coil springs. Now this kit will provide your vehicle with up to a thousand pounds of load leveling support. It'll help reduce strain on your rear suspension and improving both safety and ride quality. It is designed to support your existing rear coil spring suspension when you're hauling or towing. It will also help keep your vehicle level when you're hauling a heavy load, improves the steering and braking performance, helps maintain safe headlight aim, and it will even help keep your tires from wearing unevenly. And what's nice about this kit is it will let you manually adjust the air pressure to get the even load distribution support that you need. You can level it front to rear and with the installation of dual airlines, you can inflate each spring independently for side-to-side leveling of any off-center loads.
Does improve overall stability and ride quality and it'll diminish sway, help absorb any road shock for a nice smooth ride. And the springs themselves are constructed of a durable, molded polyurethane. And they're designed to install inside your vehicle's rear coil spring suspension. The manual inflation valves are typically mounted on the bumper. So they're very easy to reach. Does include everything I laid out here on the table.
It'll include the two air springs right here, the four spacers, the two heat shields with installation, the tubing, the hardware, Schrader valves for manual inflation. Now you can add a compressor system with in-cab gauges to monitor and automatically adjust the air pressure. Those items we do sell separately on our website. These parts are made in the USA. few specs on it again, the load leveling capacity is up to a thousand pounds. Now you do need to remember the Airlift 1000 springs will not increase your vehicle's weight carrying capacity.
So you do want to make sure not to exceed the manufacturer's recommended weight limit.Any adjustable air pressure on these, is if they are mounted with a greater than one inch spring perch, it'll be 5 PSI to 35 PSI. That's less than one inch spring pitch. It'll be 5 PSI to 50 PSI, but that should do it for the review on the Airlift 1000 Universal Air Helper Spring Kit for rear coil springs.
Ratings & Reviews
This air spring kit leveled our RAV4 just the right amount. We towed a LivinLite 8.1 all over the western US with no issues. The install takes a bit of effort (and do be sure to measure carefully if using a universal fit), but once in it was easy to set the pressure and I had no troubles with leaking. I ran the air valve to the side of the hitch to keep it out of the way.
They work great they stopped the SAG
its been a year of using the lift kit on the Jeep Wrangler Rubi (4door). no issues. did replace the clips with tighter fitting clips.
not much else to say. works as advertised.
The ride has changed so much! I love it.
What a great product, I use one of these kits,I don’t know 10 years ago and thought I would come back to the company because they provided such a good quality 10 years ago and again it never fails. Put them in my grand Cherokee yesterday. And they are working perfectly today. Great product perfect. They sent extra stuff with it that I didn’t even need which is always a nice touch. Thanks for making such a wonderful product.
I want to thank you very much for the help on fitting the correct air lift bag for my mopar lifted wrangler. I spent countless hours searching the web unsuccessfully for the information you provided. The new listing you added on your site for fitment of these air bags will undoubtedly help many customers the same as it helped me. etrailer has been my go to site for many of the items needed for an offroad teardrop camper build I'm working on that is towed by the wrangler, and again you guys came through for me. There aren't many suppliers on the web that offer the assistance you have. I will continue to recommend etrailer to people I know and meet that want a supplier with excellent service to the customer.
Thanks again!
This is the second time I have ordered different items from etrailer and each time people that helped me have been extraordinary. I wish I saved their names to thank them personally. I waited to write this review because I had to wait to have my Air Lift 1000 kit installed. I am as satisfied with the results as I am with your employees. I will definitely order from etrailer again and will highly recommend you to everyone I know.
Kit very easy to install. Great videos for help. Works great.
Works great , I put a Bluetooth compressor with it.
I haven’t installed yet, however Kevin took care of me when I ordered the wrong kit. He immediately sent out the correct kit and I received it in time for our trip. I will be installing this today and I know this is going to be an excellent product.
Used this along with a controller kit to add helper bags to my 2014 Q5 TDI. A year later and it is working perfectly. Helps with the teeter tottering and stability when towing close to the maximum capacity.
The airlift system works very well. I installed a leveling kit on my truck. Even with a small load in the bed of my truck, the truck showed sag. With the airbags, I can inflate to the desired height before I load the bed and it doesn't appear to squat!
They installed, they work & the customer service was good.
