Features to know about

Stay Level and Confident: Up to 5,000 lbs of Load-Leveling Support

When heavy loads or trailers push your rear suspension down, steering and braking can suffer. The Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 air springs add up to 5,000 lbs of load-leveling support to keep your vehicle at normal ride height. They help distribute weight evenly across all four wheels so you stay level and in control when hauling or towing. By keeping your truck from sagging, they also improve headlight aim and reduce uneven tire wear.

Dial In the Ride You Want: Adjustable Air Pressure from 5 psi to 100 psi

Every load is different, and this system lets you tune your suspension to match. The LoadLifter 5000 springs adjust from 5 psi to 100 psi for full control over firmness and ride height. Inflate both equally for front-to-back leveling or adjust each one independently for side-to-side leveling when carrying uneven cargo. Manual inflation valves and air lines are included for easy setup, and compressor systems with in-cab gauges can be added if you want automatic adjustments later on.

Built Tough for Real Loads: Fabric-Reinforced Rubber and Zytel Endcaps

These air springs are made from 2-ply, fabric-reinforced rubber for strength under pressure. The endcaps use high-strength Zytel nylon that’s lighter, stronger, and more corrosion resistant than steel. Air Lift’s exclusive roll plates protect each spring and increase load capacity while guarding against damage from road contact. This combination gives you reliable performance through hauling seasons year after year.

Simple Setup That Works: Complete Hardware and Brackets Included

Installing the LoadLifter 5000 doesn’t require complex tools or a shop visit. Mounting brackets, hardware, airline, and manual valves are all included. Once the springs are installed, just inflate them through the valves—typically mounted on the bumper—for quick adjustments before each trip. Add an optional compressor system later if you prefer to monitor and adjust air pressure from inside the cab.

Confidence That Lasts: Lifetime Warranty with 60-Day Satisfaction Guarantee

Air Lift backs this system with a lifetime warranty and a 60-day satisfaction guarantee. That means real peace of mind knowing your air springs are protected for as long as you own them while giving your suspension the support it needs every time you haul or tow.

Great price and great product, will use them again

Im very impressed with these airbags. So far they are doing the job.
These come with all hardware and instructions. I put 20 psi with no load to see how long the air would hold up. 2 weeks later im now at 15 psi which I'm satisfied.
The previous bags of another brand didnt hold air well even with no leaks.
I can tell the difference in ride quality. I've loaded the bed with landscaping materials and towed my boat with 15 psi and still holding strong. Looking forward to towing my Travel Trailer.
Customer service has also been great!

Would love to know your thoughts on them once you're able to try them out with the travel trailer, too! Thanks for sharing the different things you've used them with. Sounds like they are just the ticket for your scenario :)

@BrookeM Hi Brooke. I finally had the opportunity to tow my travel trailer. Very impressed with the stability and reliability these airbags have performed. I put 40 psi in the airbags using my weight distribution hitch , and it worked well. During my trip a support bar fell off while on the road without me knowing. That told me right there how much support and strong the bags are. Coming back from my trip I had no support bars and put more air (50) PSI. The support bags held up well. I can feel the difference between not having the support bars versus having them. My truck was a little bouncy on wavy roads but not bad enough to have a negative impact on the airbag support If it wasn't for the strength and support from the airbags i wouldn't be confident enough to tow without the support bars When not towing i leave 10-15 psi in the bags. It's amazing how long the air holds up to 3 weeks or so without adding air. Very happy with my purchase

Things are working well so far. I tow and haul during the spring, summer and fall. The most air I put in the bags was 50 PSI. The air still holds pretty good towing.Time will tell if the bags hold up as the bags age.

These were a great addition to my truck. I moved from Washington to Michigan 1 year ago. Heavily loaded trailer and truck. No sag, no issues. Full disclosure I had to get some custom U bolts made because of my setup, but I have had zero issues. Great buy.

I plumbed my airlines through the license plate which turned out to be very handy.

Watched the install video twice before the shipment got here and had no problems installing it. Also installed the WirelessOne from Airlift at the same time. Picked up some 1/4" clamps to make the air lines look a little cleaner, and hold them in place during our snowy and icy winters. Including the WirelessOne system, it took about 8 hours from the time I washed the underside of the truck until I rolled it back out from the garage. Pulled the camper this morning and all my old issues have disappeared. Truck is level, trailer pulls great, and the cooling system is back to working as needed. Highly recommend this suspension kit!

I didn’t do the install myself. However my mechanic talked me into these after adding a rack and rooftop tent to my ‘14 Tacoma. Absolutely Fantastic. I have a 3” suspension lift and the truck handles as near to stock as I can remember. Awesome product. Easy install (according to mechanic). Thanks all. Oh yes, one issue because I added a leaf spring when I lifted it. He had to find new shackles to allow for fit. FYI

Not quite Overland, definitely camping, hunting fishing. Its my “bugout” vehicle whenever need be. Moving back home to Central NY from MA soon and hoping to spend most spring/summer camping for sure. Love these springs! Seriously has not driven this well since stock. With the rack and rtt on top its an added (roughly) 500lbs and a bit top heavy. Not any more! Thanks all

a very good choice. The F150 did not have enough stock suspension for my 24 foot trailer with a GVER 10,000lb. Now we all know the truck will pull that weight but when you hooked up it squatted. After installing the air lift it does not squat any more and the truck with a 5.0 has enough power to pull the weight. I had Monroe air shocks on it before but they would not do the job. I am very happy with the setup. I replaced the Monroe air shocks with Rancho shock's and the ride is amazing with or with out the trailer. This was a great investment for the long haul.

The Air Lift is working GREAT a year later. We just hauled a Generac 705 miles up north and brought a load of big rocks back for a guy that wanted to build a waterfall for his coy fish and the Air lift system was able to handle the weight just fine and rode great. Every one comments about how smooth the truck rides. The Air Lift system has handled everything we have asked it it to and has been trouble free. These will go on every truck I won in the future.

by:
Installed yesterday and tried them out with the fifth wheel loaded. Leveled my truck out in seconds with a compressor. The installation video on the same page as the product was extremely easy to follow. Also, Joy was awesome with helping me select what I needed over the phone. Very happy with this.
by:
The airbags did their job! I’ve got a 2021 Toyota Tacoma, and I’m really happy with the results so far. I only had to put in about 10 psi, and that was more than enough to handle the weight of the dump trailer. The install was a bit tedious and took around 3 hours total. The left side definitely took longer than the right.

Besides the time it took, I am glad you were able to get these installed and notice a difference right away! They look nice installed. Are you towing anything other than your dump trailer?

by:
I had the airbags installed at my local auto shop. It took them 4 1/2 hours to install them. The kit I purchased didn't include a heatshield to protect the airbag from the exhaust pipe so I had to contact Airlift to get one sent to me. It's been 12 days since contacting them and haven't received the part yet.

2026 Ford F-350 Super Duty
Install on a 2026 F350 SRW. Love the product and have zero issues with that itself. The reason for the 4 star is the clearance with the factory sway bar and brake lines. It does mention that in the instructions, however it's extremely tight and I'll definitely be checked for rubbing in the future to make sure I don't have clearance issues. Otherwise, they work great paired with the Airlift WirelessAIR compressory system, zero complaints on the usability of the product.

Quick and easy install for anyone that can use a wrench. Bags help a ton with eliminating squat on the truck. If pulling trailers is in your daily routine then they are a must. Pull the trigger and order ya some. You won’t regret it and it’s the best bang for your buck

Dodge Ram Pickup
I just completed the install of this Airlifter 5000 series air bag kit. First, the kit, without a doubt, is a high quality kit with many of it's components designed specifically for specific vehicle application. I installed it under the rear of our new-to-us 2021 Ram 1500 Crew Cab Laramie 4x4 Ecodiesel. I was very pleasantly surprised by the nice and robust powder coating of the metal mounting plates. That means protection for them for a long, long time. The hardware/fastners were/are of decent quality also. And, while the "springs" used for the temporary carriage bolt retention in part of the install are a good idea, I have maybe a better way of doing that. In my opinion, for whatever that's worth, here's a suggestion.
Since there are TWO of those carriage bolts that have to be installed AT ONE TIME, you now have to deal with those two long tailed springs, carriage bolts that continue to fall backwards into the abyss of the frame, all the while trying to maneuver the frame mount plate into position. Then, trying to retain tension on the tails of those springs that retain the carriage bolts, and align the bolt tips to enter the mount plate, and then, if and or when you get the mount plate into position and both bolt tips are protruding through it, you now have to hold ALL of that in place, while you remove at least one spring so that you can now grab a nut (a feat unto itself) and fit it onto the tip of one bolt, all the while trying to hold tension on that bolt so it won't fall backwards into the frame and start threading it.
Then, once it's threads are started, you can no concentrate on the same operation for the second bolt. What a serious pain in the petute!

But instead of the springs and tails to be used to retain the bolts while prepping to install the mount plate, you use whatever their called, a very, very thin retainer clip or washer or "push clip" (I really don't know the name of them) that are used to retain the drums onto hubs on an axle, ALL THOSE PROBLEMS would be over.

You'd simply use the springs as before to load and pull the bolts through their respective holes as before. Now, with the one bolt in place, reach through the center hole in the frame that's between the two bolt holes and using a finger, push on the head of that installed bolt. Your finger will now hold the bolt in place. Now, with that bolt held in place, you can remove the spring. Then, PUSH the very thing spring clip right over the threads of the bolt and it will "ratchet" down the threads until it bottoms out against the frame. You have now LOCKED that bolt in place and you can let got of it with your finger and that bolt isn't going anywhere!!!!!!!!

Now, do the same for the second bolt. Now, both bolts are held firm in place WITHOUT the long and cumbersome tails of the springs. You can now grab the mount plate and push it up into place and over both exposed sets of threads at the same time WITHOUT FEAR of pushing the bolts back into the frame. You can now hold that mount plate in place while you grab one nut at a time and thread it all the way on. Then do the same for the other nut.

To me, this would be waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay easier than the method you (and I, and any installer, be it a shop or a home install) are presently using. If I had a link to what kind of clip I'm talking about, I'd link it.

But, those clips are seriously thin yet are quite capable of retaining those bolts and will not hinder the mate-up of the mount plate to the frame sides. Sure seems worth a looking into to me. Just a suggestion.

2021 Ford F-350 Super Duty
I load my F350 just under its legal limit of payload with my 5th wheel. I had initially relied on overload bump stops to prevent sag, but the ride was far too uncontrolled for my liking. I have used Airlift bags in the past on a previous vehicle and loved them. I bit the bullet and installed them on my F350 SRW and could not be happier with the ride quality and control they provide. Instead of bouncing and bucking us out of the seat while destroying steering authority on the HWY, now I have control of my payload and a stock ride when I am unloaded. I should have gone with the bags to start and I cannot recommend them enough for all the 5th wheelers out there or anyone else who tows heavily on a regular basis. The kit supplied everything needed, although I added a simple piece of bar stock to mount the schrader valves. Very clear instructions that were easy to follow.

I can’t believe how much putting these rear springs on my 2021 Jayco Alante Class A has helped the whole suspension and ride.
We took the RV all the way to Alaska through AB, BC, and Yukon Canada. I started with low pressure at 60 psi to see how it performed but ended up having the air set at 80 psi. I would definitely recommend these to anyone with a Ford F-53 suspension who struggles with the ride and comfort.
by:
2024 Toyota RAV4
Installed on 2019 Toyota Tacoma. I previously installed an add-a-leaf kit on the truck thinking it would 1. Lift the suspension to match the Bilstein 5100’s in the front and 2. Increase load / decrease sagging under load. While the add-a-leaf did raise the rear of the truck nicely, as I began to add tools (weight) it still sagged. The Load Lifter 5000 took care of this problem. Now I load the truck (or hook up a trailer) and simply add air pressure to the helper springs to bring the truck up level. I chose not to install the on-board air compressor. Instead I carry a portable, hand held compressor in the truck. I dial up the pressure I want and hit “go” and this seems to work well for me as I rarely need to change the pressure anyway. Nice to know when you empty out the truck you can reduce the pressure and go back to a softer ride. Also, I off-road some and was concerned about exceeding the travel of the helper springs and possibly causing damage so I also installed the kit that allows you to disconnect the helper springs from the rear axle and allow it to rest in a cradle. When full leaf extension occurs the helper springs raise out of the cradle and return there again when the leaf returns to normal position. This keeps any damage to the helper springs from occurring due to over extension.

After a year of use I can safely recommend this product!

I installed the airbags on my 2015 Ford Transit to help with the heavier weight after converting it to an RV. The airbags were fairly easy to install. All the parts were included with the kit. I chose to use the manual inflation option by running the air tubes to the back of the van and mounted the fill valves under the bumper. There is a noticeable difference in the sway of the van going around corners and the sag in the back of the van when fully loaded. It's easy with a bicycle tire pump to adjust the firmness of the airbags. A great addition to the safety of the van.

Airlift Bags have performed well, compressor does adjust more at low pressure 10 psi I assume for air temp change, I have checked for leaks multiple time and none found. 6500 towing miles at 80 psi with little auto adjusting pressure and no issues.

Truck rides nice with 15 lbs of air. F250 didn't have the factory bolts that are shown in the videos. It required 2- 3/4" bolts nuts and lock washers. 2 5/8" bolts nuts and lock washers. I had to drill the small hole there wasn't any. It installed very easily though

I combined these with lowering blocks for my 19 F350 and the remote compressor setup (no tank). I LOVE IT. I can reach my bed better. The remote compressor setup makes it so easy. Pulling is improved. One year later I would buy again in a heartbeat.

Installation was not difficult. Excellent for the intended purpose of leveling the vehicle with a bumper pull RV trailer connected. Has made the ride for the rear seat passengers uncomfortable when not towing. Have not found a PSI that alleviates this.

Inflation valves tend to loosen. Must be checked regularly. Suggest some type of lock washers be supplied. The only way I found to improve the rear seat ride is to decrease tire pressure. I only do this when expecting passengers so I don’t wear the tires excessively.

Hey Daniel, for your 2016 Ford F-250 I recommend checking out the Air Lift LoadLifter 7500 XL Ultimate Air Helper Springs # AL57596 for 4WD models or # AL57395 for 2WD models. Occasional Towing and Hauling is one of the facets we use to help narrow options from constant load meaning always engaged systems and the commercial vehicle towing daily applications. Even though you tow more often than many, you would still fit that category. The Super Springs SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs - Rear Axle # SSR-114-54 are a great choice for your suspension enhancement. They will not require any maintenance and will engage progressively so you will get support...

  • AirLift Loadlifter Springs For 2016 Ford F-250 Super Duty With Fifth Wheel Hitch
The AirLift Loadlifter Springs part # AL57395 fit both a 2016 F-250 and F-350. The Air Springs will install with the fifth wheel brackets installed on the truck. There are special instructions for installing the springs with the fifth wheel brackets installed on the frame and may require drilling through the fifth wheel brackets for installation which is pretty standard for air helper spring installations with an in-bed hitch involved. I recommend to add an Air Lift WirelessONE Compressor...

  • Comparison of Air Lift Air Helper Spring Kits Available for 2015 Ford F250 2WD
There's two primary differences between the # AL57396 and the # AL88395. The AL88395 is AirLift's Ultimate Air Helper Spring, which uses integrated jounce bumpers. The primary benefit of this is that they act as a fail-safe if the air springs should ever lose pressure. The AL88395 is compatible with 2WD vehicles. The AL57396 is a regular LoadLifter air spring, without the built-In jounce bumpers. It's compatible with 2WD trucks. For your 2WD model, you'd choose between the # AL88395...

  • Duty Cycle of the Air Lift QuickShot Compressor System Part # AL25572
The air compressor that is included with the Air Lift QuickShot Compressor System for Air Springs part # AL25572 is made and manufactured by Viair. It has a 32% at 150 psi duty cycle. If you need a set of airbags to use this system with on your 2016 Ford F-250 then I recommend the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs part # AL57396 for 4x4 or part # AL57395 for 2x4.

  • AirLift LoadLifter 5000 Rear Axle Air Bag Kits for 2017 Ford F-350
The AirLift LoadLifter 5000 air spring kits that fit the 2016 Ford F-250 are parts # AL88396, and # AL57396 for 4WD versions and parts # AL88395 and # AL57395 for 2WD. All are shown on one of the linked pages. The other linked page shows the AirLIft kits that fit the 2017 F-350. None of these is a common fit between the two trucks. Some of the kits for the F-350 are combination springs - they are both jounce springs and air springs in one - such as kits # AL88399 (4WD) and # AL88391 (2WD)....

  • Recommended Air Bags and Wireless Air Compressor for a 2012 Ford F-250/F-350
The air bags that I recommend for a 2012 Ford F-250/F-350 is the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs part # AL57396 for 4x4 models or part # AL57395 for 4x2 models. These systems are both direct fit bolt-on options that will work wonderfully to help provide support while towing or hauling. In regards to the air management system, these are all designed to use their own controller and compressor. We don't offer any way to adapt this to an existing on-board system. Therefore, I...

  • Info Needed to Pick Out Replacement Trailer Axle
When picking out an axle for a trailer you'll need to know the overall length of it from hub face to hub face as well as the distance between the spring seat centers to pick out correct size and the axle capacity. I also attached a link to a page with all of the axles we carry. You can use the filters on that page to see the sizes and capacities we carry. If you can't find what you have (we don't have every option) the best solution would be to find a local trailer shop that can order...

  • How Long Do Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs Take To Install?
Hi Tom! The install time for the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs - Rear Axle # AL57395 can vary pretty widely, but we generally say it will take roughly 2 hours. That said, if you (or whoever you are going to have install this) are pretty experienced and handy with this kind of thing it could take less time. Especially if a lift can be used. If you (or they) have never done something like this before, it could take a bit longer than that. One thing to note though, this is...
