The flush-mount design keeps the Yakima BaseLine FX tight against the roofline for a clean, factory-style appearance. There’s no bar extending past the towers, so the rack has a low, integrated look. It feels like part of the vehicle rather than an add-on strapped to the top.
The aerodynamic JetStream crossbars are shaped to help reduce drag and wind noise while driving. Push-down rubber strips in the top channels help seal the surface to limit vibration and whistling. The combination of aero design and sealing strips keeps the ride quiet and comfortable even with gear mounted up top.
Whether you’re hauling kayaks, skis, or a cargo box for a road trip, these bars can handle it. They work with both channel-mount accessories that slide into the top channels and clamp-on attachments that fit around the bar. That flexibility means you can use gear you already have without needing special adapters.
Everything you need for a solid setup comes together in one system. The BaseLine FX includes 2 crossbars with towers and a custom fit kit for your vehicle’s naked roof. The integrated design streamlines setup, so there’s no guesswork about pairing separate components. It looks clean and works as one unit.
For added security when you’re parked or out exploring, Yakima’s Same Key System (SKS) lock cores (sold separately) can be used to lock both the rack and any channel-mounted accessories. It’s an easy way to deter theft and secure your rooftop gear during long trips.
