Features to know about

Keep a Clean Look on Top: Flush, Factory-Style Bars

The Yakima BaseLine FX Roof Rack keeps things looking sharp and simple. Its flush design means the crossbars sit tight to the roofline, with no bar ends sticking out past the towers. The result is a low-profile, factory-style setup that blends right in instead of looking bolted on. It’s a full system that includes two BaseLine FX crossbars with towers and a custom fit kit, all in a clean black aluminum finish.

Cut Down on Road Noise: Aerodynamic Shape with Rubber Channel Strips

Driving with roof bars shouldn’t sound like flying a kite. These aero-style crossbars are built to cut through the wind and reduce drag. Push-down rubber strips fill in the top channels, which helps minimize wind noise and vibration while you’re on the road. The strips also make it easy to drop accessories into place without cutting or trimming anything.

Carry All Your Adventure Gear: Works with Channel-Mount and Clamp-On Accessories

Whether it’s kayaks in summer or skis in winter, this rack is ready for anything. The bars accept both channel-mount and clamp-on accessories, so you can use your existing carriers or add new gear later. They’re compatible with most bike, watersport, snow, and cargo carriers, giving you flexibility for every trip or sport season.

Strong Enough for Heavy Loads: Aluminum Construction with 165 lb Capacity

Built from sturdy aluminum, the Yakima BaseLine FX is designed for strength without extra weight. It handles up to 165 lbs of gear—just remember to stay within your vehicle’s maximum roof load limit. The integrated crossbar and tower system keeps everything solid and stable mile after mile, whether you’re hauling camping gear or watercraft.

Add Security When You Need It: SKS Lock Cores Sold Separately

If you want extra peace of mind when leaving your gear on the roof, this rack is ready for Yakima’s Same Key System lock cores (sold separately). Add them to help deter theft of both the rack and any channel-mounted accessories you’ve got installed. It’s an easy upgrade that keeps your setup secure wherever the road takes you.

Rack is still on the car one year later. Yakima doesn’t have a replacement cover for the tower, which is flimsy.

Awesome system. Was extremely easy to put together and to space out with the given tools and equipment.

The team is amazing, fast, and responsive! 10/10 will be ordering again from here for all my needs.

I was able to use these clips to mount a roof rack and roof box on my Audi that had a naked roof, and they did the job! I took it on a 1,200 mile road trip and after I returned there wasn’t any damage to the paint, and even though there are rubber inserts on the inside of the clip to prevent scratches I was still a bit surprised.

If you don’t have roof rails on your car, these definitely help!

I was converting a roof rack from my Jeep Cherokee (factory rails) to my RAM 2500 truck (naked roof). While I could use my old Jetstream crossbars, I needed new towers and clips for the truck. There was an error in my original order, the representative thought she was sending me two pairs of clips. I understand the mixup because the Clip box said two meaning 2 clips rather than two pair. etrailer sent another pair immediately and waived the shipping. I like customer service is available and knowledgable. I would give them a five if they hadn't mixed up the first order.

I was in dire need of finding a cross bar system to mount a 18cu foot Yakima cargo carrier for an upcoming camping trip and etrailer did me an enormous favor by using there website to find the correct system for my 2018 Toyota Camry. I was very pleased that the website confirmed the fitment and provided the whole kit with not just the towers and cross bars but also the clips to mount to a naked roof. So far the mounting was pretty straightforward as long as you follow the directions thoroughly. I drove 5 hours through a wind storm in SoCal with a box mounted and the system held up perfectly fine with no issues or hiccups. 10/10 recommend.

Was purchasing the Yakima kayak rack and was unable to find the base clips anywhere. None of the stores had any in stock. Called Yakima and they gave me the E-Trailer contact. Best customer service ever ! Got my clips within a couple of days and just today got my kayak carrier installed. Thank You Christian for your help and follow up !

Ordered new towers and clips so as to use my old-school round bars (I bought these at least 18 years ago, maybe even earlier) and bike and canoe accessories on a new vehicle (naked roof 2018 CR-V). Installation was tedious, as usual, but not difficult and the written instructions were straightforward. Youtube helpful too but not necessary. Have hauled bikes and the canoe in high wind on the interstate (no more than 65 mph though) on the CR-V and so far so good. Have had excellent results with Yakima racks on 3 vehicles now (2 sedans and now the CR-V) over last 28 yrs. This is my first purchase through etrailer. Very pleased. Good price, excellent service online and via phone, rapid delivery. Highly recommend.

robert s was terrific !!! excellent customer service !!! from assisting with a return, to recommending an alternative, to informing me about delivery status ...

the yakima jetstream crossbars with baseline towers were a bit more complicated to assemble and install than the brand i returned, but the wind noise and whistling are dramatically less ...

the next step is to select a cargo carrier ... it goes without saying that i will consult robert again ... thanks so much robert, and safe and happy travels to all

  • Will The Thule ProRide XT Roof Bike Rack Fit With Factory Honda Crossbars On A 2018 CR-V
If you're talking about actual crossbars (running from side-to-side) and not factory rails (running from front-to-back) then yes the Thule ProRide XT # TH598004 will be a compatible fit. The factory honda crossbars are exactly like the Yakima Jetstream aero bars # Y56UV, as a compatible comparison. The clamps will allow you to easily install your rack in seconds, if you want a quick walk-through of this then check out the attached video below.

  • Will Crossbars Interfere With The Panoramic Sunroof Of A 2023 Ford F-150
Yes, any roof rack, including the Yakima BaseLine FX Roof Rack for Naked Roofs # Y56UV, would most likely prevent you from being able to open your panoramic sunroof. Even if the crossbars clear the glass there's always the chance that whatever weight you out on top of them could cause them to dip down enough and touch so roof rack manufacturers don't ever approve of opening the sunroof while the crossbars are installed. If you'd still like to use these crossbars then you'll also need...

Hello Zeke, So we can get your 2017 Honda CR-V set up to mount Yakima JetStream Crossbars # Y00425, though there aren't actually different options for this. Reason for that is you can't mix and match different manufacturers parts because they won't fit together. That means to put the JetStream crossbars on the bare roof of your 2017 Honda CR-V you would have to use the following parts: - BaseLine Towers for Yakima Crossbars - Naked Roofs # Y28TR - BaseClip Fit Kit # Y06188 - BaseClip...

  • Recommended Yakima Roof Rack for a 2019 Honda CR-V w/ No Roof Rails
I checked with Yakima and there's no difference at all. Yakima just changed the part number. This is a common occurrence that they do often. Both 8000146 and 8000162 are the BaseLine Towers for Yakima Crossbars item # Y28TR. 8000162 is just Yakima's new inventory number. If you have the older 8000146 from a different roof rack it will work in place of the 8000162. The BaseLine Towers for Yakima Crossbars item # Y28TR fit multiple Yakima roof rack kits for the 2019 Honda CR-V with a naked...

  • Yakima or Thule Roof Rack for 2019 Honda CR-V with Naked Roof
When it comes to roof rack quality both Yakima and Thule are right there at the top. The Thule rack will be a little easier to install on your 2019 Honda CR-V and the crossbar design is pretty sweet but I like the Yakima brand because you can easily upgrade to larger crossbars with no issues, it has a similar-ish design in the abilities of the T-Slot that the Thule has, but my favorite part are the small adjustments in the legs that you make with the Yakima roof rack. Some people say...

  • Roof Rack Recommendation for a 2020 Porsche Macan With a Sunroof
I am partial to the Yakima roof rack. It has extra adjustments that the other rack companies do not have to provide a better fit for your vehicle. This Yakima rack will allow you to open your sunroof provided the roof rack accessories do not interfere with its operation. The rack for your 2020 Porsche Macan will consist of the following: Yakima JetStream Crossbars - Aluminum - Black - 60" Long - Qty 2, part # Y00426, BaseLine Towers for Yakima Crossbars - Naked Roofs - Qty 4, part # Y28TR, BaseClip...

  • Can Yakima Q Clips and Towers From 2016 Honda CR-V be Used on 2018 Honda CR-V
I checked with Yakima and found that you will need a new set of towers and clips for your 2018 Honda CR-V. It looks like there was a generational change for the CR-V starting with the 2017 model that required a new fit for the roof rack hardware. You will be able to transfer your existing round crossbars to the new vehicle if desired. If your 2018 CR-V has a completely naked roof you will need # Y28TR for the BaseLine Towers, # Y06188 for the Front BaseClip Fit Kit, # Y06189 for the Rear...

  • Roof Rack For Rooftop Tent On A Honda CRV 2021 Hybrid
The safest rack system you can put on your vehicle is the highest rated components. I would suggest getting the Yakima HD bars # Y01156 because they have a capacity of 500 lbs. The Baseline towers # Y28TR have a capacity of 220 lbs. You'll need the adapter # Y03541 and BaseClip # Y06188 # Y06189. This is what you need for your 2021 Honda CRV. I always tell people that when you're planning on putting a tent up on your roof make sure you get a heavy duty system. The bars will be plenty strong,...

  • Can You Use Roof Rack Crossbars Wider Than The Roof Of A 2017 Honda CR-V
The reason the the 60" Yakima JetStream Crossbars # Y00426 are showing as not confirmed to fit your 2017 Honda CR-V is due to the fact that it will be wider than the roof of your vehicle. As long as the 60" bars are narrower than the widest point of your CR-V which is usually the mirrors, you will be able to use the # Y00426. If the crossbars are too wide it can cause a safety issue and could even be illegal in some areas, and you would want to stick with the 50" # Y00425. To do this...

Thanks for reaching out, Erin! It sounds like you're wanting more of an OEM-style roof rack for your 2020 Honda CR-V, which we definitely have. Out of the options that fit your vehicle, I recommend using the Yakima brand because of their excellent quality and how well they fit and install together. Inno does not have a roof rack fit for your 2021 Porsche Macan but we do have other options that would work great. For that I would recommend the Yakima round bar roof rack part numbers # Y00409, # Y28TR, # Y03536, # Y06163, # Y06189. We recently went out and installed several of the roof racks we carry and everyone really liked the Yakima rack the best even though it does cost a little more than some other options.

  • Roof Rack for a Thule Hullavator # TH898 on a 2018 Honda CR-V
In order to know what roof rack you need to use the Thule Hullavator # TH898 on your 2018 Honda CR-V, it depends on if you have flush factory rails or a bare roof on your vehicle. Also, the space between the feet where you install the crossbars is important as well. This is because the Thule Hullavator requires at least 4 inches of additional length past the feet in order to function. If you have flush rails, I recommend the following setup: - Yakima JetStream Crossbars - Aluminum -...

  • Correct Yakima BaseClips For a 2020 Honda CR-V With A Naked Roof
Yes, that is correct. If you already have the Yakima BaseLine Towers, part # Y28TR, and the Yakima crossbars, all you will need are the two Yakima BaseClip Fit Kits for the BaseLine Towers, part # Y06188, and part # Y06189. I have included product descriptions for the fit kits and a video link of 2018 Honda CR-V Yakima BaseLine roof rack installation below. I know it is not the same year as your CR-V, but they are the same generation, so there will be some similarities.

  • Roof Rack Recommendation for 2018 Honda CR-V for Best Wind Resistance
Since wind noise is a priority you will definitely want aero shaped crossbars for the roof rack you install on your 2018 Honda CR-V. We have a few options but the Yakima JetStream Kit part numbers # Y00425, # Y28TR, # Y06188, and # Y06189 would be the winner as it has the highest capacity of 165 lbs, has aero shaped bars, and has the shortest bars which also helps with wind noise. These bars are 50 inches in length.

  • Parts Needed to Add Yakima Round Bar Roof Rack to 2020 Honda CR-V With Naked Roof
You should be able to use your Yakima round crossbars to your 2020 Honda CR-V with a naked roof, so long as they are the right size in order to ensure there is enough room for them to cross the top of your vehicle, but also so they aren't so long they stick way out on the sides and become a hazard for people walking by.
