LED Porch and Utility Light for RVs - On/Off Switch - Oval - Amber Lens

Today, we're going to take a look at the LED Porch and Utility Oval Light for RVs. Has the amber lens and on the bottom, an on-and-off switch. Now this LED light will function as an RV porch light or utility light, produces a bright light at a downward angle. You can see if I turn this to the side, you can see that the actual light will shoot the light down. Also works great for an enclosed trailer. If you notice on the bottom has this toggle switch, which will control the on-and-off function of the light, and I am going to hook this up to some power at the end of this video, just to show you how bright it is and how it works.This does use SMD construction of the LED circuit board.

That'll help better withstand shock and vibration, allows improved heat distribution and thinner construction.The LEDs in this will make great replacements for incandescent lights because they'll last 50 times longer, and they're more efficient because they'll give you brighter light with less power output. And of course no bulbs to replace, no brittle filaments to break.This does use this durable acrylic snap-on lens, and it's all in this nice black ABS housing. The amber lens is over 16 light LEDs. It is compatible with 12-volt DC systems, and it is designed to mount on the surface of the RV. You can see it does include the two mounting screws to install it, and there's your two mounting holes.You can see it as a two-wire design.

Does include the black power lead, the white ground wire.Few specs on this. I want to give you some dimensions of the light itself. So we're going to measure the overall length on it from one end to the other. It's going to be right at 6 5/16 inch long. The height from the bottom to the very top is 3 5/16 of an inch.

And the thickness on this is about 1 7/16 inches thick. Now the distance between the mounting holes, here's your two mounting holes center to center. It's going to be right at 4 7/8 inches.Power draw of this light is at 12 volts is 0.295 amps, and there is a lifetime warranty on the LEDs. So again, what I'm going to do is take our power wire and ground wire. We'll go ahead and hook up our power wire.

This is our ground wire. Once we've got those hooked up, I'll go ahead and turn on the 12-volt power. Then you can see at the very bottom here, if you flip the switch, you can see the light will come on. Turn it off. I'll go ahead and turn off the overhead lights, and you can see with the lights off, gives you very bright amber color with the amber lens on it. And again, to turn it off, just turn it off. Turn it back on. And we'll go ahead and turn back on our overhead lights.
