I have a 11/4 receiver on my 5th wheel. I would like to use for grill and other things that will not exceed 200#s. My truck has a 2 receiver. Question #1 - Will this work on my 5th wheel Question #2 - Will I need an adaptor to go from 11/4 to 2? Thanks,

You will be able to use a hitch mounted cargo carrier on the back of your 5th wheel trailer. I recommend going with the Curt 17x46 Cargo Carrier, # C18145 because it works with a class I, II, III, or IV hitch. It comes with an adapter to be used in a 2-inch receiver so you will not need to use a separate one when using it on the truck.
This carrier does not have the mesh deck like # 63153 but you could easily place a flat piece of solid material down if needed. When used with a 1-1/4" trailer hitch, the capacity is 300 pounds, and 500 lbs if you ever use it on a 2" hitch. Make sure you go by the lowest rated component in the system. If the hitch or trailer is rated lower, go by that rating. I have included a link to the installation details for reference.
Also, there will be more bouncing and movement at the back of a trailer than at the back of a vehicle so you will need to make sure the carrier and the cargo is secured. I recommend using a stabilization strap like # 18050, to help hold the carrier. For the cargo, you can use ratchet straps like the Erickson # 34413.
