This Solera XL 12V Power RV Awning gives you serious coverage with its 21' width and 9'8" projection. The extra 1'8" of fabric adds about 20% more shade than standard 8' awnings, making it perfect when you want a big, shaded patio area. It’s a solid match for larger setups that need that extra stretch to stay comfortable during sunny days.

When rain hits, there’s no need to run outside and drop an arm manually. The built-in automatic rain dump system takes care of that for you by dropping one side of the awning as soon as water starts to pool. This helps the rain run off safely, preventing the fabric from stretching or tearing and keeping the arms from bending under the extra weight.
Getting the right angle for shade throughout the day is simple with the manual pitch adjustment. You can lower one corner at the friction joint to block the sun exactly where you need it, and you don’t have to reset anything before retracting—it automatically slides back in place.

The premium 13.5-oz vinyl fabric is built tough for long days in the elements. It’s cold-crack tested to -25°F, so it stays flexible even in freezing weather, and the heat-welded seams keep rain from leaking through. The built-in burgundy weatherguard shields the fabric when it’s rolled up, protecting it from sun and debris when not in use.

Extending and retracting the awning is effortless—just flip the switch. The 12-volt motor connects directly to your RV power, and a manual override lets you use a power drill if electricity isn’t available. The included switch kit can be mounted inside or outside, and all necessary hardware for installation comes with it.

The awning was installed to the metal inner frame of our Class C RV. It worked great. Last month while returning from a trip in Canada we had a bad stretch of I-90 Interstate. When we finally turned off, about 20 miles later, we were shocked to find that the awning had somehow opened, and its roller and awning had been ripped from the RV, and was gone. We never did find it. The remaining supports and motor were destroyed in the incident, the 12 steel shafts were snapped off at the retaining screws and were hanging from the side of the RV. The upper and lower mounting brackets of the supports were twisted and broken and the shafts themselves were damaged. Absolutely everything but the screws are damaged beyond use. After contacting Lippert, they decided after 10 months, that nothing was covered under warranty, this was normal wear and tear. I guess that this is a normal incident, and we are expected to buy a new one every year, like a set of tires.
