Hi, everyone, Steve here with etrailer. Today, we're taking a look at the MEC 48 inch long Propane Hose. So folks, if you're putting together or repairing a propane system, sometimes the two components that you need to connect, maybe they don't use the same style of fitting, maybe you have an older one, newer one, who knows, different brands, use different sizes. This hose will give you a 48 inch flexible way to join a 1/2 inch male flare connection to a 3/8 inch female NPT port. So with hoses like this, the main thing is understanding the ends, right So on one end here, you have a 1/2 inch female flare. That's the one here that spins.

And this connects to a compatible 1/2 inch male flare fitting. And the swivel makes it easier to connect, the way you just put the wrench here versus having to rotate the hose. And on the other end here, you have a 3/8 inch male NPT fitting, and this threads into a compatible 3/8 inch female flared fitting. Now, with the flare fittings, the connection point's gonna be right here on the flare, so there's no need for pipe dope or thread sealants and those kinda things, so you don't have to worry about that. I do recommend with all propane connections, you get some leak tests, sold separately, and you use that to check for leaks and everything.

So again, folks, 48 inches long, this is a thermoplastic hose. It does use fully crimped brass ferrules. It's rated for up to 350 psi working pressure. So if you need a 1/2 inch male flare swivel on one end and a 3/8 inch male NPT on the other, this is an option for you at 48 inches long. I'm Steven with etrailer.
