Michael: Hi, there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a quick look at the JR Products propane hose. This is designed like most of your propane hoses to allow you to run LP gas through it so you can get it from point a to point B so you can power up your propane-powered appliances. Now there are a few things that you want to look for when shopping for a propane hose. You want to make sure that it's going to fit your setup and your needs.
The first thing you're going to want to look for is the length, so obviously you want it to be able to reach from point a to point B so you can get that propane flowing through there. This is a six foot long hose, so as long as point a and point B are less than six feet apart, you should be good. The hose itself has a rubber construction which is going to help be resistant to kinks and cracking, anything like that. It's got an internal diameter of three eighths of an inch, so that should be plenty of room for that LP gas to flow through there. You shouldn't have to worry about limitations. It'll power almost all your appliances, so not something that you have to worry about there.
The next thing that you want to look into are your fittings. So there are several different kinds of fittings available for propane hoses; you want to find the kind that are going to work for your setup. So here we've got a 3/8" male NPT fitting. This is most likely going to connect to your regulator on your RV or travel trailer, but it could be used for other devices as well, depending on what your setup is.The other fitting we have here is our half inch female SAE swivel fitting. It's that swivel there, so it's going to be a lot easier to get this mounted onto whatever you're using.
You're not going to have to twist the hose to get it tightened down. This will just swivel on there. If you can see in the inside, there is a flared fitting. There are several different kinds of SAE fittings. This is using the flare there.
That's where it's going to connect to the male portion to create that nice seal so you don't have any gas leaks, so look out for that. This hose is UL and CSA approved, so it's going to hold up to those high quality standards. Should do a good job for you. Hold up well, do all that you need it to do. Now keep in mind, if this isn't the hose you need, maybe you need a different length so that it'll reach from your point a to point B, or maybe you have different connection points that you need to attach to, I want to encourage you to come look at some of our other options here at etrailer.com. We've got many different propane hoses, so hopefully we can find one that will meet your needs. Our goal is always to help you find the product that you need to solve your problem, so you can get back to enjoying your time outdoors. That's going to complete our look at the JR Products propane hose.
