Video Transcript for Review of Camco Water Heater Tank Rinser - CAM11691

Hello, neighbor, Steve here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at our Camco RV Water Tank Rinser. Now, folks, this rinser will lift collected sediment off the bottom of your RV's water heater or camper heater, and wash it out of the tank. It's gonna help extend the life of your water heater. You simply connect the water hose to this side here, and then when you're ready to turn it on, you open the flood valve here, or the gate valve, whatever you wanna call it, ball valve, and then you can have higher pressure going down inside the tank, cleaning out every kind of sediment or most of it, and then rinse that tank out to prolong the life of your RV water heater. I do wanna point out that the color of this base and this top could vary.

I've seen some get shipped us that are yellow, some black, some gray, like this, so just keep in mind the color could vary. There's no way for us to guarantee a certain color, just whatever the manufacturer has at the time with their supply system. Well, that's gonna wrap it up. Just a quick look today. I'm Steven, thanks for watching.

Great delivery, product works as it should.
by:
Can be used to "squirt" water far into the hot water tank. But, the tube is narrow, only a small volume of water gets "squirted". What I mean is that you may need a full blast of water from a garden hose nozzle to forcefully flush any loose scaling out of the tank.
by:
Tube is rather flimsy, so turning the garden hose on past half throttle results in the tube bending over backwards. Does its job of getting a spray inside the water heater tho.
by:
This product was a few penny's cheaper than all the other sites but what keeps me coming back to etrailer are the shipping prices the best in the industry, received the product In a few days works great Keep up the good work
by:
Easy to use, arrived on time, made the job of cleaning the corrosion out of the tank easy. Purchased my trailer used the original anode rod was completely gone so I appreciate the tool and the videos for cleaning my tank.

  • Atwood G6A-7E Water Heater Has Bad/Rotten Egg Smell - Clean or Replace
That smell is mostly likely hydrogen sulfide, it is an anaerobic bacteria that that is not uncommon for RV water systems due to the periods of time they set dormant. If you want to replace your water heater we have a great option in the Fogatti RV Water Heater # LSB64FR. I suggest you first take some measurements to verify fitment however, specs available to me show the dimensions of the Atwood at 16" W x 12-1/2" H x 18"D. For the Fogatti RV Water Heater # LSB64FR, overall dimensions...

  • Flushing Sediment and Minerals Out of Atwood Water Heater
I am currious if the build up you are seeing is salt, or maybe calcuim, or other deposits that can be left in a tank. The heating process probably contributes this this as well. To flush this tank first ensure the power is off and the water is cool. I would start by pulling the drain plug and letting as much as possible drain out. There will still be some water in the bottom of the tank. Use a water hose with a Camco # CAM11691 Heater Tank Rinser attachment. Use this to spray loose...

  • What to do With a Water Tank Filled With Water for an Unkown Period of Time
Jim, I'd recommend draining the tank by pulling the plug at the bottom of the tank to let as much drain out as possible. Then I'd use a hose with the Camco RV Water Heater Tank Rinser # CAM11691 to spray loose any deposits. The last thing you can do is make a solution that is 4 parts white vinegar, and 1 part water and let it sit for a day and rinse again. This should thoroughly clean your tank and get rid of any nasty stuff that may have been sitting.
