One year with the bike hitch has been very good. Really no complaints, it's held up well, held 2 bikes with no issue, and is in good condition.

Beware overtightening if you store your sewer hose in the bumper. My bumper has very little clearance and my installing the hitch was enough to make the right side too tight to remove the hose (intact). Lesson learned, not the hitch's fault.

by:

with four bikes on a bike rack (as shown in the advertisement photo), the item failed during a trip with the metal tearing at the weld where the brace was welded to the receiver hitch.

by:

My intention was to mount it on the rear of my Casita RV. It hung to low tilting downward when I loaded the 125 lb generator.

by:

Works great, installation was simple.

by:
2015 Jeep Cherokee

Easy install and works well with 4 inch bumper

by:

Appears to be of high quality and was easy to install
Hopefully the 350lbs tongue weight is accurate and everything works well as we are about to leave on a very lengthy trip using this to carry our bikes

by:

Works great for our Travel Trailer. Good quality and great price! ??

by:

Easy to install, fits great no movement. Sturdy built. Don't have to move spare tire.

by:
2021 Jayco Jay Flight SLX Travel Trailer

While I haven't used it yet, the product looks and feels like it will do exactly what we need it to.

by:

This product aloud me to carry my generator on my camper without breaking the bank Paul was very helpful very fast delivery my local camping store couldn’t offer me any of the items that etrailer had in stock

by:

This is exactly what I needed. Tks!

by:

Arrived very soon after ordering it.! Haven't been able to install it yet.

by:

Bought this product to use on my 5th wheel camper for my bike rack. Installed easily and I place it on top of my bumper to allow for more clearance

by:

Very good directions and quality material. I use it for a foldable cargo carrier and it's held up great

by:

Great hitch for bikes on my travel tra iler

by:

Shipped fast ...very good quality...very easy to install both items....pleased with purchase

by:

Overall it's good. But because of clearance between the bumper and the body of my trailer, I had to install it upside down. I'm only using it for a cargo carrier so it works for that. I didn't notice the clearance measurement as something to check beforehand.

by:

The steps were great!(previous order) instructions, easy. I'm not sure if like pop rivets depending on the structure me with a bum leg (aviation background). It will work ! The hitch a piece of cake ounce we had the pin holes oriented proper. Tank cover, Kool. I'm happy with everything and the service excellent.

by:

Exactly what I was looking for. My bike rack works perfectly with it.
Another excellent product from eTrailer.
I highly recommend eTrailer to everyone. Excellent products, selection, and service.

by:

Quick and easy to install.

by:

Great product very thick metal

by:

This is a much better quality receiver than the one on Amazon. I seen pictures of the one on Amazon where the welds broke. The bikes fell onto the hwy.

by:

It has worked well. Happy with the purc hase.

  • Will Swagman E-Spec Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes Work With Travel Trailer and Wrangler With Spare
Hey Bob! The only way to know the answer to your question is to measure. The distance from the center of the # S94FR hitch pin hole to the closest part of the rack when folded down is 10" and when folded is 6-1/2". Compare this to the hitch on your travel trailer and Jeep Wrangler to see if you have clearance for the spare. If you find that it won't work on the Jeep there may be another hitch with an extended receiver that would help. If you can let me know the year of your Wrangler in...

  • RV Bumper Hitch Recommendation for Carrying 2 Bike E-Bike Rack
Hey Danny, what you would want is the ShakeStopper Heavy Duty 2 inch hitch part # MNT72VR which has a 400 lb tongue weight capacity and was designed with heavier bike racks in mind. The hitch you mentioned only has a 100 lb capacity so it would not be what you'd want.

  • Weight Rating of Mount-n-Lock SafetyStruts Standard RV Bumper Support Brackets
Hey Chris, thanks for reaching out! The Mount-n-Lock SafetyStruts Standard RV Bumper Support Brackets # MO22FR can support up to 400 lbs of cargo and would allow you to use the full 350 lb tongue weight rating of a hitch receiver like the etrailer RV Bumper 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver # e38HR, provided your bumper can handle that much weight. You'll need to verify how much weight your bumper can handle from the manufacturer. If you don't already have a bike rack then I recommend going with...

  • Hitch Reciever For A 2014 Open Range 416 RLS
Hey Russell, There are a couple options for you to get a hitch on that 5th wheel. We do not currently have a custom fit one for that specific trailer but we have some bumper mount, and frame mount universal options. If your 5th wheel has a bumper I would recommend something like the # e38HR, etrailer RV bumper hitch 3500lbs. This fits bumpers that are 4" x 4" or 4" x 4 1/2", which are fairly standard bumper size. There are other sizes as well so I would need to know your bumper dimensions...

  • Trailer Hitch for 2019 Forest River Flagstaff E-Pro
Hey Eugene; we don't have a list of hitches we know for sure fit your 2019 Forest River Flagstaff E-Pro. However, you can probably use the Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver for RVs # 13703. This is pretty universal since it fits frame widths from 22" to 72". There are bumper hitches like # e38HR but it looks like none of the E-Pro models have a compatible bumper. If for some reason the adjustable hitch won't work the only other possibility would be a universal weld-on like # 41990-07.

  • Can Mount-n-Lock SafetyStruts Be Installed with Rear Jack Mounts in the Way
Hey Pat, thanks for reaching out and the photos! The Mount-n-Lock SafetyStruts Standard RV Bumper Support Brackets # MO22FR looks like it will work on your application, but you'll need to more your rear jacks around to make more room, and cut off the welds to allow the brackets to fit. Aside from that you can go with a whole new bumper or have a welder reinforce your current bumper. If you don't already have a hitch receiver on your trailer then I recommend checking out the etrailer...

Hey Jim, we have the etrailer RV Bumper hitch part # e38HR which will fit your 4 inch by 4 inch RV bumper and has a 350 lb tongue weight capacity. Then for an RV approved e-bike rack you'd want the part # S94FR which also happens to be the only rack that covers everything you need. It's only RV approved e-bike rack with enough weight capacity. What kind of e-bikes do you have?

  • Trailer Hitch For A 2013 Prime Time Crusader
Hey Taylor, Assuming your Prime Time has a standard 4" x 4" or 4" x 4 1/2" bumper we have a great option for you. The etrailer RV Bumper Hitch, # e38HR, is a bolt on hitch for those standard bumpers. It has a 3,500lb towing capacity, but you would want to confirm the capacity of your bumper with the manufacturer before towing. If you do not have a bumper we do have more universal options for trailer hitches. We have something like the Curt # C13701 that would fit certain frame widths....

  • Can Swagman Traveler XC2 Carry Step Thru E-Bike
Hey John! More than likely you won't be able to use the Swagman Traveler XC2 # S64663 with your e-bike. The capacity of this rack is 35 lbs per bike, which is typically not enough for a heavy e-bike with a battery. If your bike is under 35 lbs you can use the # HRBA-PRO for an attachment point on the step thru frame if the arm can't make contact (it really depends on the exact design of the bike). More than likely you're looking at a bike rack more like the Swagman E-Spec Bike Rack #...

The Mount-n-Lock SafetyStruts # MO34VR simply add additional strength to the rear bumper on your 2022 Keystone Travel Trailer. To determine if you will be able to then attach a Bike Rack # S94FR using a 2" Receiver # e38HR you will need to contact Keystone. They will be able to tell you how much weight your bumper and frame can support. Do note this bike rack weighs 60lbs and is capable of supporting 2 bikes up to 70lbs each. • Ways To Add a Bike Rack Behind an RV Without a Factory Installed Rear Bumper
With your RV not having a rear bumper you will have a couple options and I recommend collaborating with the trailer manufacturer to determine which is going to work best. First and the easiest is going to be installing a Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver for RVs # 13703. This will allow you to carry a bike rack like the Swagman E-Spec Bike Rack # S94FR in the receiver. Another option which may be the smartest is installing the Mount-n-Lock Heavy-Haul'r Replacement RV Bumper # MNT43VR....

  • Best Way to Carry E-Bikes on Travel Trailer with 4" Bumper
While the Swagman Bumper Mount Racks, parts # S80600 and # S80605, do give you some mounting options, these are designed for lighter 30 lb bikes so the bars that hold the bikes up aren't really designed for heavier 60 lb e-bikes. Since this is the case I recommend going with a different setup. For your application I recommend installing the etrailer RV Bumper 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver # e38HR and then using the Swagman E-Spec Bike Rack # S94FR and swapping out the standard trays to the...

  • Can a Trailer Hitch Be Installed on the Rear Bumper of a Heartland North Trail Trailer
The brackets which hold the rear bumper to the trailer frame are not always up to the task of hauling extra gear. In order to confirm we must recommend reaching out to the trailer manufacturer to see if and how much you can carry. If it's not rated or not high enough for what you need, we offer support brackets which will strength the connection between the bumper and frame. • Can etrailer Hitch Install on 2022 Grand Design Imagine XLS 23 LDE to Carry E-Bike Rack
The street bikes you want to carry with the Swagman e-bike rack # S94FR would need to weigh less than 70 lbs for the rack to have the needed capacity. So assuming your bikes weighed each 70 lb plus the weight of the carrier which is 60 lb this would put you at 200 lbs total which is less than the tongue weight capacity of the etrailer RV bumper hitch part # e38HR which is rated for 350 lb tongue weight. So the hitch itself would be strong enough but what I can't answer is if your bumper...

  • Trailer Hitch For 2022 Jay Flight SLX 7 174BH Bumper For Bike Rack
It won't mess with the trailer bumper frame so long as the bumper on your 2022 Jay Flight SLX 7 174BH is rated for the weight of the bike racks and bikes; we don't have any way of knowing what your bumper is rated for, however, so you'll have to verify with Jayco what it is rated for. • E-Bike Rack Recommendation for Rear Bumper on Travel Trailer
It is definitely possible! You'll need to start off by adding a hitch receiver to your bumper and for that I recommend part # e38HR which gives you a 2" receiver with a 300 lb weight rating. Then for a bike rack I recommend the Swagman E-Spec Bike Rack # S94FR which has been rated for use at the back of a trailer (not all bike racks have this rating) and can hold up to 70 lb bikes. The E-Spec secures the bikes by using a ratcheting hook that comes down on the frame so it's compatible...
