Question:
May North Trail FSB22 indicates that I should not put anything on the bumper. Will this hitch work or just destroy the bumper? Thx

The brackets which hold the rear bumper to the trailer frame are not always up to the task of hauling extra gear. In order to confirm we must recommend reaching out to the trailer manufacturer to see if and how much you can carry. If it's not rated or not high enough for what you need, we offer support brackets which will strength the connection between the bumper and frame. The Mount-n-Lock SafetyStruts Universal RV Bumper Support Brackets part # MO34VR is what I recommend. This would then let you mount a hitch like the etrailer RV Bumper 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver part # e38HR and carry some bikes or a spare tire etc.
The other option you have would be to use a frame mounted trailer hitch which takes the bumper out of the picture all-together. This will be harder to install and less economical but will also provide more support. I recommend the Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver for RVs part # 13703.
