That said, all of the fans we offer need to be wired to a power source, and we do not have anything with a rechargeable battery. These vents are reversable so they can bring air in or out.   Hi Dave, welcome back! That does sound like the standard 14" x 14" opening, maybe just a tad off. I'm sure your old vent was designed for the same opening size so you won't have any issues adding in a new vent like the MaxxAir MaxxFan # MA00-04401M or # MA00-07500K. One way or another any replacement is going to fit the 14" x 14" standard. Worst case you might have to slightly modify the opening for it to fit properly.
