Can MaxxAir MaxxFan Mini Roof Vent Be Mounted On A Wall?
Updated 08/30/2024 | Published 08/26/2024 >
Question:
Is there a rechargeable passive air fan for this vent that can be mounted on the side wall, over the inlet screen for added flow. Also are they available as bi-directional so one side can be intake and the other exhaust?

Hello Steve. We do offer vent fans such as the MaxxAir MaxxFan Mini Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan # MA00-04401M which can be mounted on a side wall. That said, all of the fans we offer need to be wired to a power source, and we do not have anything with a rechargeable battery. These vents are reversable so they can bring air in or out.
Just keep in mind that these vents are designed to be mounted on a roof. You will need to make sure your wall is thick enough (at least 1" thick). Also, mounting the vent on a wall can make it more prone to water intrusion so make sure you seal everything really well and try to position the vent so that water is less likely to get in.

Well that was a bust, I was asking about a side wall passive vent typically found on teardrops and small trailers, and a fan that could be added to draw air in or out via that vent. the hole for that is only 3" in diameter. However the fact that you offer no fans with a rechargeable battery that can clip on the wall, tells me the answer to what all you have. Thank you.
