Question:
Hello I need help with a roof vent, I recently broke the cover on my 2007 Triple E Topaz fifth wheel. I would like to see if I could get a maxx air style fan replacement vent. The rough opening just wood is 14.5” x 14”, would that be a 14 x 14 vent opening? The interior trim that goes up in the hole is 13 1/4” square. The roof top opening is approximately 13 1/2” square. The old vent was just a regular roof vent no fan. Thank you Dave

Hi Dave, welcome back! That does sound like the standard 14" x 14" opening, maybe just a tad off. I'm sure your old vent was designed for the same opening size so you won't have any issues adding in a new vent like the MaxxAir MaxxFan # MA00-04401M or # MA00-07500K. One way or another any replacement is going to fit the 14" x 14" standard. Worst case you might have to slightly modify the opening for it to fit properly.
Do you have any exciting plans with your 5th wheel this summer?

Thanks Robin excellent service as always. Well just in the process of re-sealing the roof that’s how I broke the lid, put my had on it and it almost shattered, guessing it was original and badly damaged from the sun. Anyway to answer your question yes we have a week long trip planned in early August. Would you happen to know where I would draw the 12v power from for the fan?
