How To Install the Jensen RV Stereo JWM60A

Question:

You stated that the Jensen JWM60A is the best replacement stereo for the Jensen AWM970. Where can I access some helpful diagrams or instructions for completing this project. I have the old stereo removed from opening and am getting ready to order the replacement. Thanks for any help you can provide.

I have attached the wiring diagram of the Jensen RV Stereo part # JWM60A for you. This is what you will need to replace the Jensen RV Stereo AWM970 that you have now. The plug that came on the AWM970 will need to be cut off and then the one from the JWM60A will need to be wired in using the wiring diagram and butt connectors part # DW05744-10 (2).

If the functions of the wires on the Jensen RV Stereo AWM970 that you have now aren't labeled then you can use the second wiring diagram I have attached for you to match them with the JWM60A but do not match based solely on color.

Please I have a question for you. I had a jensen radio awm910 and i would change for a radio jensen jwm60a. What is it a big job for the connection ?

If you're comfortable with splicing wires together then installing the Jensen Stereo # JWM60A isn't a huge job. The plugs between your AWM910 and the new unit aren't the same, so all the wiring will need to be manually connected. If you're not comfortable with this it would be best to have somebody with experience perform the install.
