Recommended Replacement For An Estone RX8500 RV Stereo

Question:

I am looking to replace an Estone EX8500 DVD stereo in our older Keystone 5th wheel. The opening in the cabinet is 9 1/8 wide by 6 1/8 tall. I can fabricate a new plate to cover the hole if needed. Suggestions for a replacement with DVD and Bluetooth?

I have the perfect fit for your with the Jensen RV Stereo w DVD Player # JWM60A. This stereo requires a 9" wide x 6" tall x 5-1/2" deep cutout hole to mount, making it a seamless replacement since you won't have to fabricate a cover plate. This stereo can play CD's and DVD's, MP3 or WMA files via USB, and also through your smartphone using Bluetooth.

Is the wiring similar on both units? I'd like to see a video that shows the removal and rewiring of the Estone to the Jensen.

@Ron No, the wiring for pretty much every stereo system, even within in the same brand, is unfortunately different. The best way to swap everything over would be to get the wiring diagrams for both units and then swap function for function over to the new wire harness so that nothing gets wired incorrectly.

@Ron Yes, the # JWM60A would come with a new wire harness to splice into the RV's factory wiring.
