Connecting an HDMI to a Jensen RV Stereo JWM60A/JWM62A

Updated 07/22/2024 | Published 02/11/2022

Question:

I want to replace the Jensen JWM6A with the JWM62A. The JWM62A does not have HDMI. What adapter would I use to make DVD playback possible? Thank you.

Your Jensen RV Stereo, # JWM60A and JWM62A has multiple connection points that let you link other devices. There is 1 front auxiliary audio input, 1 USB, 1 rear audio RCA input, 1 rear audio RCA output, 1 rear video output, as well as the AM/FM antenna socket. If you need an HDMI connection, I suggest using an RCA to HDMI converter adapter.

I am having issues connecting sound/video from my jensen jwm62a to a TV in an ice castle fish house. There is an hdmi cord connect, but no hdmi port in the jensen radio. How could I fix this?

@Michelle Since your JWM62A only has the component (or RCA) ports for audio/visuals you'll need to find an adapter that goes from HDMI on your TV to the components (RCA) that connect at the back of the Jensen system.

@JonG How do I connect the HDMI RCA converter to my TV and the JWM62A radio? Do I also have to connect the converter to a USB port?

@DonnaS You'll need to plug the HDMI into the HDMI input on your TV and then the RCA connectors will match with the output side of your Jensen radio. If your converter has a USB cord as well then that will likely need to be plugged in for power, but it really depends on the converter itself - you'll need to reference the instructions and/or diagram for that.
