Replacement for iRV64FR Stereo System

Updated 08/14/2020 | Published 09/26/2019

Question:

Just curious if this would replace an iRV 34 unit? I see others use it as a replacement for the iRV33.

It looks like the iRV34 had a bit larger cutout for the mounting hole than the iRV64FR uses, but I do know that iRV uses the same adapter plug in for the back of their stereos and both are 3 zone units- so it will be a good replacement in regards to the ease of installation and the functionality that it will retain in use with your travel trailer.

The other unit you may want to have a look at if you're looking for more of an upgrade to a premium unit, is the Jensen # JWM60A . This is also a 3 zone unit with all of the same features of your iRV unit, but also allows you to use Bluetooth to connect and make calls with your mobile phone.

If you can tell me the mounting hole cutout size you've got I can confirm whether or not the iRV64FR will fit or not and can also make some additional recommendations for a replacement stereo.

I want to replace my travel trailer IRV32 stereo with a Jensen JWM62A RV Stereo. I am concerned about the wiring compatibility, how difficult is it to switch these two units out. The cut-out size difference for the units is not an issue just the wiring compatibility.

It won't be a plug-and-play install, but it also won't be too difficult to connect/splice in the new wiring of the Jensen # JWM60A. You will just need to go by function when making your connections. If you look at the manual attached on the product page, there's a good wiring diagram you can reference. You can use butt connectors like # DW05744-10.
