Question:
Mounting on Chaparral 391QSMB bumper. Im looking at your 64 inch cargo tray that mounts to the 4 inch bumper on an RV. I understand that the weight limitation on the tray is 500lbs, but do you have any resources to indicate how much weight can be put on the bumper itself? I likely wont be anywhere close to 500 lbs, but I also dont want to see my smoker bouncing down the road if the cargo tray is going to overstress the bumper welds to the frame.

Good question, and there isn't an online resource that I was able to find so there are a couple of things you can do to find out the bumper capacity on your 2019 Chaparral so you can safely mount the cargo carrier you asked about, which is the following part number:
- 24x64 etrailer Cargo Carrier for RV Bumper # e83YR
The first and easiest is to check and see if there is a sticker or placard on the bumper indicating the capacity; this is somewhat common and is often on the back of the bumper. If that isn't there you'd need to contact the manufacturer, Coachmen, as they can give you the capacity.
You can also make the capacity of your bumper 400 lbs by reinforcing it with supports:
- Mount-n-Lock SafetyStruts Universal RV Bumper Support Brackets - 4" to 4-1/2" # MO34VR
I have added a link below to a video review as well as the instructions for these supports if you'd like to take a look.
