This setup includes everything you need to get gear on the roof—2 WingBar Evo crossbars, 4 Evo Clamp feet, and a custom fit kit. It’s made to install right on a naked roof without extra rails or factory hardware. Once it’s up there, you’ve got a secure base for hauling everything from kayaks and canoes to camping gear and cargo boxes.
The aerodynamic shape of the WingBar Evo cuts down on drag and wind noise while you’re driving. Each bar includes split rubber strips that fill the top channels, sealing around your mount hardware to reduce whistling and vibration. You won’t have to deal with the constant hum that comes with older square bars—it’s a noticeably quieter ride.
The top channels of these aluminum bars accept standard channel-mount accessories, and the design also works with clamp-on mounts. That means you can carry bikes, skis, snowboards, kayaks, or a rooftop cargo box using the attachments you already have. The split strip setup means you can slide accessories into place without cutting or trimming anything first.
Each crossbar measures 50" long x 3-1/8" wide x 1" tall and supports up to 165 lbs—just keep within your vehicle’s roof load rating. The rigid aluminum build delivers solid strength without adding unnecessary weight, so you get stability for long trips and rough roads alike. The black finish adds a clean look that blends in well no matter what you’re carrying.
You can add Thule One-Key System locks (sold separately) to protect both the rack and any channel-mounted accessories when your vehicle is parked. It’s an optional upgrade that keeps everything secure whether you’re at a trailhead, campground, or hotel overnight.

I can see that you got the 52 inch Thule square bars. The square bars are known to whistle compared to the aerodynamic cross bars. I recommend the Thule AirScreen XT part # TH22WV to divert the wind up and over the cross bars to eliminate some of the wind noise.

Most of the time whistling occurs because the rubber strip is not covering the whole channel. You can find installation tips here in the attached expert answer. There will be some wind noise as with all brands of roof racks. Wind fairings greatly reduce that by adding an aero-dynamic ramp allowing the wind to flow over the roof rack. The Thule Wingbar Evo crossbars that you purchased are actually designed to act as a fairing so one would not be needed. You could still get one if you wanted to try it out. This one would be the best match for you: item # Y05018.

Review of Entire set: After a year of using this, it still works very well. Easy to take on and off your car and make slight adjustments if needed. Only maintaining is really just cleaning it which is simple enough. No issues with lockingunlocking with the keys. It has definitely helped saved space for my tiny Honda Civic.
