Today, we're going to be taking a look at the round crossbar for Yakima roof rack systems. This multi-purpose crossbar is going to supply the backbone for your aftermarket roof rack system. As you can see, it's a round design. The round design fits all Yakima towers. Towers are sold separately and can be found here at etrailer.com. The bar provides stability to your roof mounted racks and allows you to carry the accessories that secure your gear.
A round bar roof rack system is going to be great for bike racks, water sport carriers, roof baskets and boxes, and much more. The round style bar will accept accessories that clamp or strap around the bar. It's constructed of a vinyl coated galvanized steel, so the bar itself is very strong and durable as well as rust and corrosion resistant. That nice vinyl coating provides slip resistance for your gear and keeps the bar protected. One bar is included. The diameter is 1 1/8-inch, with a steel wall thickness of .085-inches.
At etrailer.com, we offer the bar in a variety of lengths to best fit your particular application. A single bar is available in a 48-inch, 58-inch, 66-inch, and 78-inch length. It's going to be covered with a lifetime warranty. Please note that the crossbars do not include the end caps. The end caps are going to be included with the rack towers.
