Hi, everyone, Steven here with etrailer. Let's take a look at a Replacement Operator with Knob and Screw for the Ventline Vent. So folks, this is a classic, right This will work with the Ventline Ventadome, old-schools I'm calling 'em. They're pre-2008 trailer roof vents with the old-style, rounded, plastic dome lids. And also, it works with the Ventline Ventadome roof vent model with the flat metal domes, as well. Now, some quick measurements to be sure it fits.

You get a screw hole here and here. I got 2 3/8 on center on those screw holes. And then I got 6 5/8 inches from the end of this rod down to where it hits this mechanism. And then obviously once you get this installed, you'll push that in there, you'll put the screw in, and then that's gonna be what you can twist to then operate the bar here up or down as needed, which is then, in turn, opening and closing that vent dome. Well, folks, that's gonna wrap up our quick look together at this Replacement Operator with Knob and Screw.

Appears to be the correct operator, but package was missing friction clip and screw, so make sure you don’t throw those out from your old one. They were not loose in the sealed mailer so they obviously got lost or robbed out of the package prior to shipping. Would have been 5 stars if not missing parts.

Correct length of my vents (unlike one I bought elsewhere that was too short), but the knob on the end of the arm is 10 mm wide, the old one is 7 mm wide, and the slot in the base strut it has to pass through is 8.5 mm. I managed to bend the slot eides with pliers enough to slip it through, so it looks a little mangled but is working great.

this is the second delivery of the lift arm and both are missing the friction clip. Without the friction clip the arm can slip out of the crucial slot. Please send me the friction clip asap. please look at the drawing to learn what a friction clip is. [goodness]

Had a little difficulty forcing the disk through the narrow channel above the mechanism where it attaches to the vent. My vent is old, and has the plastic dome, so I probably should have asked if etrailer had an exact match for that. However, once I got it through the channel, it worked fine. As per my photo, I did keep the old style crank versus the knob supplied. Just my preference. Pleased that works.

This was an adequate replacement. I did have to do some creative filing to make lever that raises vent hood fit the slot so that it will slide and raise. Picture shows the difference in the old and new part. My Dremel tool ground it to the right clearance in short order. Now works perfectly!

Hi folks:
I like ordering stuff from etrailer because the staff is very courteous, helpful and professional. Tamara and George J responded right away to my order and that's a great feeling. The part I ordered was almost an exact fit, the round part on the very end was a little wider than the original one but I just wiggled it through the slot in the vent and everything was fine. The grease they use on the gearing was pretty stiff so I lubed it up with spray lithium grease and it worked very smooth after that and I also used it on the vent track.
All in all the process went very smooth and I will use etrailer again for other purchases !!

This functions well and ultimately was a great replacement, but it is wider than the original part where it goes through the mounting bracket. Soon had to file the bracket to allow this part fit through. So 4 out of 5 stars.

Another GREAT product! Installed without a hitch. After installing the replacement operator I realized that the plastic vent dome cover had cracks in it from years of weather and had a minor leak problem. I searched the internet and again, eTrailer.com was the lowest in price. Ordered the replacement from eTrailer.com. Due here tomorrow.... FAST delivery too.

This is operator is a perfect replacement for my Ventline fan, model V2119, with electric lift. Remove the knob, then the lift motor gear matches the gears on the operator perfectly. I used this on my 1999 Airstream Excella. No modifications are required.

Service was excellent and works great. I did have to file a notch in the slide to accommodate for a longer stub on the back side of the part. All the new replacement parts had a longer stub on the back when the original stub was flush with the back of the arm where the wheel is pressed in.

This product fits my vent perfectly. My old unit had a crank but I’m much happier with the knob. There wasn’t a video for this product but it wasn’t rocket science to figure out how to change it. An easy replacement for my old lift arm, however I did need to drill a new screw hole in the support bar as this one didn't line up exactly over my old mounting holes, not a big deal, five seconds with a drill and it was done.

The Vent crank [operator] and the fan blade fit a 1999 Tropi-Cal 6370 perfectly. I also bought four replacement Lexan Vent lids and they fit perfectly as well.
There were four roof vents and three needed new cranks as an August 2017 near miss hurricane either broke the arms or stripped the first two gear teeth that hold the lid down. The polypropylene old lids did not crack or leak, but I thought it time to get new Lexan lids as the shower stall lid and the Fantastic Fan over the kitchen area were both Lexan originally and are in perfect shape STILL. Takes some doing to figure out which parts fit because there are no part numbers on the old parts !

Thanks for replacement parts. Without replacement parts, replacing a whole vent with recessed lights on a TrailManor RV would have been an expensive proposition. We do have most of the parts that you referenced and although we don't have instructions we do have some diagrams on each of the product pages that you can check out. Item 7 - # VC0476-00 Item 14 - # BV0115-04 We don't have items 1, 15 and, 16, but it sounds like 15 and 16 come with the item 14. Hello Scott, thanks for reaching out. The Northern Breeze S0740 comes back as one of their old-style vents. We do have a replacement dome for this. That will be part # BV0554-01 for white, or # BV0554-03 for smoke. I do suggest you compare this lid to what you have now and make sure the hinge and everything match. Hey Ed it does not look like we have anything that matches the dimensions you gave me. The Replacement Operator item # BV0115-04 does work with the Ventline item # V2110SP-24 but it looks like it is going to be too short. The center mounting hole to center of the mounting hole is only 2-3/8". You would need to modify your vent to get this part to work.

I do have some possible options for you but VD0434 is not the model number of the vent which is used for the identification of replacement parts, it's instead just the model number of the screen which is used on many different vents. You can replace the Replacement Operator w/ Knob and Screw for Ventline Vent with Metal Dome and Old-Style, Rounded Dome # BV0115-04 without having to remove the lid from its hinges. You may have to move the vent lid up and down a little but most likely you will be able to get it installed without having to move it much at all.
