Question:

I have a 2002 SnoPro enclosed snowmobile trailer with a roof vent. I am using Ventline Dome BV0554-01 to replace the cover. The plastic wheel on the end of the operator arm is shot and does not hold the end of the arm in the groove of the cover. The operator has a crank handle and the mounting screws are 3inch apart. The arm is about 5.5inch to 6inch long depending on position and how it is measured. Do you have a replacement? If no replacement I could use a screw and washer to replace the plastic wheel at the end. Thanks

I have confirmed with my contacts at Ventline, and the correct replacement operator for the Ventline Dome # BV0554-01, that you are using on your trailer is the # BV0115-04.

This replacement operator has a different style of handle than what you currently have, and the dimensions are a bit different, but it is confirmed as a fit for the replacement Ventline Dome # BV0554-01 that you are using.

The mounting hole locations are 2-3/8 inches apart, and the length of the operator arm is 6-5/8 inches. I have included a diagram showing these measurements for you reference.

Using a screw and some washers might work for your new Ventline dome, and you are welcome to use those. If you go that route, I recommend using a bolt and possibly a couple of different washer sizes. Then you can get the correct spacing, and the operator arm will align properly.

The BVD0462-00 that you referenced is intended for use on the newer wedge shaped dome covers. This operator has a different track attachment style that is specifically designed to work with the wedge shaped domes track system.
