Hello neighbors, this is Steven with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at our carriage bolt, the M6-1 by 75 millimeter fully threaded Thule replacement bolt. So folks, just like I mentioned, this is one replacement bolt quantity one. The square section under the bolt head measures 0.3 inches, and the size is considered an M6-1 by 75 millimeter. Thule specifically says this is made to fit the adventurer cargo box. Folks, not much more to say, it's a simple replacement bolt by Thule.

Couldn't find these carriage bolts in any of my local hardware stores, including the big national ones. Found them for a great price on etrailer.com and couldn't be happier. A great fit for my Thule system.
The bolts for my old Thule roof rack were rusting and I got worried they wouldn’t hold up. Searching for a replacement at hardware stores was futile, so I tried e-trailer. I didn’t see the part immediately so I called to see if this part even exists, and wow was I impressed! The person I spoke with was super-friendly and went out of her way to dig around and find exactly the part I needed. This is an exact replacement bolt for my old Thule Frontier, and it fits perfectly. Thank you!
It seems to me these bolts are being sold here as a replacement for Thule bolts, especially for their kayak J-racks. They do not fit well for this application. The square piece directly under the head (what makes this a "carriage bolt") is too large, and so the bolts do not lock in at the top. Thus, the bolt spins rather than tightens, and since there is no screw head, there isn't anything to do about it. I'm bummed since this makes them useless to me.

Just used the Car top carrier on a trip to FL and the replacement mounting bolts working perfect
Was looking for some replacement screws
For my Thule J Racks . I looked high and low for M6 -1 x 75 mm
Fully threaded to replace the M6-1x 50 mm
So the racks would fit on the new cross bar for my wife’s new car . Everywhere I searched you had to purchase large qty’s and I only needed 4. etrailer was able to fit my needs at the right price. Thanks etrailer ! Jracks fit perfect on new cross bars!

I recently lost one of the carriage bolts for my "vintage" Thule Adventurer cargo box. This bolt is the exact right size and fits perfectly. etrailer's price with shipping was so reasonable that I'm a bit miffed I bothered wasting time and gas trying to look for a replacement at the local big box hardware store.
Needed replacement bolts for an older version of the Thule Moiuntaineer Ski Box. Since they are metric, they are hard to find in hardware stores and even just buying the bolts only from Thule proved difficult. Found them on etrailer.com. Easy to order and received them in about 1 week. They fit just like the originals and I'm good to go. One note: They are fully threaded up to the head, not partially threaded as shown in the product photo. But that doesn't affect their use.
etrailer was the only place I could find replacement mounting bolts for my elderly Thule Mountaineer cargo box. They have an excellent and informative web site that helped me find just what I needed. (The Thule website was no help at all.)

I was surprised how hard it was to find carriage bolts and knobs to replace those that had corroded on my bike rack. These were exactly what I needed and they arrived very quickly at a great price.
These bolts worked great with Thule Adventurer and Summit racks for the factory 1997 ford expedition racks.
Needed some pieces and parts for a Thule Weekender cargo box. Bought them from etrailer.com because they were about 1/3 less than buying from Thule direct (including s/h)
This is identical to the original part from my 1997 Thule Weekender. The dimensions for the square portion under the head are important for the mounting clamp to function correctly. The only negative is that at this price, they ought to be stainless.
Thought a regular metric carriage bolt would work only to find it didn't.
Etrailer had EXACTLY what I needed, how many I wanted and got them to me quickly(and at a very reasonable price). Love it when that happens

The product shipped was exactly as I expected. I found this by searching for Thule parts and the etrailer website showed up. It was very easy to find the parts I wanted, order them and they were shipped and received as promised.
This is identical to the mounting hardware used for some Subaru cargo boxes. My best guess is that those are rebranded from this.
