Speaker 1: Today we're going to take a look at the Solera Awning Plain Drive Head Back Cover. Now, this replacement awning cover is very durable, very easy to install. It is made from a sturdy plastic to protect the drive head assembly from outside elements and debris. This plain drive head back cover is universal for all Solera Plain Power and pull-style awning drive head assemblies, including short, flat, and pitched. The cover comes all fully assembled. It's very durable, very easy to install, and it is made in the USA.

Wax Screws that Get Removed to Install Solera Awning Head Cover
I attached a picture of what the wax screws look like for the Solera awnings like of the # LC289561 instructions that you referenced. Basically it's under the black cap that you'll pop off and you'll unscrew that you see in the second picture I attached.

Replacement Covers for Regal and Plain Solera Awning Heads
Hey Richard. Lippert has redesigned these covers, so there is an important distinction between what will fit and what won't. The # LC643922 is a replacement only if you have regal heads, meaning there is no logo on the current part. I've attached a photo that shows this. How To Remove Solera Awning Head Covers
In order to separate two awning head covers such as the Solera Awning Plain Drive Head Front Cover part # LC289560 and the Solera Awning Plain Drive Head Back Cover part # LC289561 you'll need to remove the screws which are accessed from the back cover. In order to gain access to the screws you will need to extend the awning head out away from the trailer. I checked with Lippert but they don't have an step by step write-ups on this unfortunately.

To remove the cover of a Solera power awning head # LC289561 you do need to insert a slot screwdriver into the slots you mentioned to gently pry the cover off. The trick is to go slow and not force anything and you won't break anything.

The Solera Awning Plain Drive Head Front Cover # LC289560 that you referenced does fit as a replacement for the Solera 12V Power RV Awning Conversion Kit # LC434723. This is a front cover like you said you needed as well. For a back cover you'd want the part # LC289561 for if its the drive head or part # LC289567 for if it's the idler head.
