Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this Andersen Replacement Adjustment Shank for your two-and-a-half-inch trailer hitch receiver. Now this is a replacement shank for your Andersen towing setups. It's designed specifically for vehicles with a two-and-a-half-inch hitch receiver. And this is gonna work with the Andersen Weight Distribution hitches as well as the Andersen EZ HD Combo Ball setup.
Now the big benefit is the adjustability. This is going to give you up to a six inch drop or a six inch rise when you flip this over. So it's gonna make it easier to get your trailer level with your tow vehicle. Now keep in mind this is just the shank, so it doesn't include any additional mounting hardware. This is built for heavier towing applications with a maximum towing capacity of 16,000 pounds and a maximum tongue weight of 1,500 pounds.
This also meets V-5 and SAE J684 towing certifications. So if you already have a compatible Andersen system and you need a two-and-a-half-inch replacement shank with plenty of height adjustment, this is going to give you the connection and adjustability that you need without having to replace the rest of your hitch setup.
