Today we're going to be taking a look at part number CAM59173. This is the Camco Propane supply hose. It's going to measure 36" long. It's going to let you connect your auxiliary propane cylinder to your RV or trailer's propane regulator. Has the green fitting on this end. This is a type 1 Acme nut that's going to connect to your Acme or POL connection on your propane tank.
On this end we're going to have the 1/4" inverted male flare. It's going to connect to the 1/4" inverted female flare on your propane regulator. It's going to feature brass fittings to resist rust and corrosion. Nice flexible hose, feels like a really strong heavy duty design. This unit's going to provide thermal protection in case of a fire and excess flow protection in case of a broken gas line.
This 36" long supply hose is rated for 200,000 BTU per hour. That's going to do it for our review of part number CAM59173.

24" hose worked out great when converting a single propane application to a dual application
Excellent. I fully expect the propane to run out during the height of tonight's sleet blizzard, so that I will need to install the beautiful, new, 60 inch Camco Propane Supply hose in the dark, without problems from the product itself. Hopefully, the squirrels will not chew its unprotected hose before we can find an appropriate metal cover. Although our tortoise-speed internet connection does not always fully load their web pages, making tracking here difficult, etrailer.com invariably delivers exactly what we order, in prime condition, well packaged, and in quite timely fashion. They also provide speedy responses to E-Mailed inquiries. I highly recommend etrailer.com.
This was a replacement for a recall item and the dealership was taking forever to get the part in because of backorder, so I decided to find one myself. etrailer had exactly what I needed and it took only about a month to get here. Everything was as described and fit perfectly!
The propane double stage auto-changeover regulator and two pigtail connector hoses came bubble wrapped and in excellent condition.
After the holidays, I will assemble the parts to twin 40 lb propane tanks and copper lead in through a 4 inch wall and into a Mr. Heater 20,000 BTU infrared heater in my wife's 14 ft X32 ft studio. This will be the backup heater to two electric radiator styles heaters. It will also be the morning main heater to bring the temp up to comfort level and then idle as the standby source.
These parts will be easy to assemble and maintain.
The Camco Propane 12 inch supply hose was exactly what I needed and was shipped and received quickly so that I installed it and was ready to travel on schedule.

When I finally figured out what size fitting was needed for my trailer from an online video, where the Camco part number was listed, I was able to go to etrailer and find the exact part number. This hose was for a dual propane tank system with auto switch over manifold requiring a 1/4" male NPT (real size about .5" OD) fitting.
I live in a fifth wheel rv in northern Oregon. I rely on propane for heating and cooking 24/7. The longer hose was just what I needed when switching to other bottles when ones in unit got empty. Good product. Looks like it will be quite awhile before I need another one

Since I live in Canada it is a big problem if I had to send items back across the border to etrailer if the items were not what I thought they were. The short videos that etrailer provides with each product is extremely helpful in determining to purchase or not. Thank you for that feature. Knowing a little about video production and the costs associated with that, it must cost etrailer a pile to give us (the consumers) what appears to be a simple addition on their site

Product fit well but did not have an internal back flow preventer. If you have dual tanks and remove an empty gas will slowly bleed out of the disconnected hose. Not ideal but alot more flexible then the original equipment on our travel trailer.
These pigtails have 2 possible connections at the regulator:
One is a 1/4" inverted male flare, the other is a 1/4" NPT fitting. You need to be certain which connector you need. otherwise, it's the return hassle!
I just received my order placed on 7/18/17 today 8/7/17. It took almost 3 weeks for delivery even though all items indicated they were in stock when the order was placed. I received an email at time of order indicating shipping would occur 7 to 10 days. At that time I thought 7 to 10 days was already too long, but 20 days to receive my order was ridiculous! I called to inquire on the status of my order 7 days after placing it and was advised one item was on order but should be in stock in a few days. It took another 10 days after that for the order to ship. They advised they would ship only when all items were in stock. I said all items were in stock when I placed the order and they just said it is busy time and stock changes from minute to minute. Personally I think etrailer should send an email to the customer advising the customer of out of stock items and give the customer the option to cancel that part of the order. The products seem good on arrival, but we were setting up our new trailer for a trip that we had to cancel as essential products ordered from etrailer were not received. Unfortunately, I will hesitate to order any essential items from etrailer again.
I always enjoy purchasing products from etrailer. They always make the experience very personal. My order confirmation is always received from an individual as opposed to a machine derived email. Additionally, they always follow up to make sure you received your package. Awesome customer service!
The 5 foot extension with the acme nut has an odd connector on the other end. I want to go from the 1/4 to 3/8 for my regulator. The end you sent me is male but the end is inverted in and not out to join with an adaptor. I have been to five major stores and spoke to an expert in this field and was told this is a very odd connection.
