Measure to Fit
There's one measurement you should double check to see if this toilet will easily fit into your bathroom. The rough-in measurement is the minimum distance you'll need from the wall to the center of the flange on which the toilet will sit. To measure this distance without uninstalling your current toilet, the mounting bolts on the side will typically tell you where the center of the flange is. You may want to triple check if your toilet has an offset flange or 4-bolt mounting style.
The Dometic 311 Series RV toilet has a rough-in measurement of 10". If your rough-in measurement is less than 10", select a toilet model with a lower requirement or consider alterations to make it fit. Keep in mind the overall dimensions of the toilet, and measure for yourself to pick the best model for an easy DIY upgrade.

I bought this low profile toilet to replace the Dometic 300 which came with our Adventurer 89RB. We have a slightly raised platform under the toilet so the 300 seemed too high (and plastic). The instructions said the rough in distance for the Dometic 311 needed to be at least 10 Inches from wall to bolts, but I was able to fit it in where I had about 9 3/4 inches (a tight fit for our rounded corner wall). All in all, we love the new height - no more sitting on the toilet like a toddler. The flush is great, but it does use slightly more water. I like the soft close seat and lid, but I may buy a thinner and lighter one.

It's been working great...now. The only reason I dont give it 5 stars is that I had to hunt around and ultimately had ti modify the water hose connection because it did not fit precisely what we have. Once I trimmed the fitting, it came together with no leaks.

My 3 star rating is due to Dometic's inability to package properly. The rear valve cover that is part of the seat assembly was cracked during shipping. No fault of UPS or etrailer. etrailer has been great but they did not have a replacement seat to send me. I was able to order one from [online].

Much nicer than the plastic toilet that came in our motorhome. The flush goes all around the edge which is great and much, much nicer than some Thetford toilets that only have one small area where the water washes the bowl. We added an inexpensive bidet and the hand sprayer (which makes cleaning easier). The only thing I wish it had is a lip around the inside edge like a regular toilet, but to get that you need to buy the elongated version. Unfortunately we don’t have enough room for that version.

Arrived in perfect condition with no shipping damage to product or box. Upgrading from a plastic Thetford Aqua Magic V to this, but not until mid-April when I get my RPod out of storage...will update following installation.

Replaced the plastic unit with Dometic 311 part timer. Absolutely love it! The ceramic bowl is really nice option too! Can’t wait to put it to use. Easy install leas than 15min total. A must for every RV’r .

The Dometic 311 porcelain toilet is a great improvement over the OE plastic version in my Winnebago Trend 23D. Unfortunately, it arrived with a broken plastic trim piece. I installed it anyway because the function of the toilet was not affected. Donna at etrailer customer service arranged for the shipment of a replacement trim piece and I’m a happy camper!

We bought this to replace the cheap plastic toilet that came with our rv. We love that it feels like a real toilet and that it came with soft close seat. Also, when it came the part that holds the seat was broke, one call to etrailer and email a picture and got the part within days. Thanks etrailer

Replaced a Thetford Model 42053. Couldn't get a call back from the Therford Corp or find the replacement for the water intake.

Fit in the existing space . Only required a few mods to the RV to provide a secure attachment. Previous installation (not EOM) was not done well.

One good! We punish this a lot! It’s just a little high so our feet swing wide. Also our water line is a tad short so we have it cocked sideward a bit, just fine for heavy abuse with our ski boots still on! We just pulled our RV out of storage and got it all polished up for another long season here!!!

The product came broken. It doesn't seemed to be packaged very well. The part that broke is plastic. Called etrailer and they had another and are shipping it to me

What an improvement over the original plastic toilet in our motorhome. Super easy to install, customer service was good, and overall I am happy with the toilet. Not so happy with UPS who must have had it "out for delivery" several days. The toilet was damaged. Plastic top piece was shattered and toilet was sideways in the box. Customer service was great about getting me a replacement piece ordered. It Does not affect the use of the toilet.
